“The hotel met my expectations for an airport hotel”

I had to stay at this hotel because of a very early flight in the morning. You get what you can expect from a Holiday Inn close to an airport ... The bathroom tub and shower need a serius update tho ... The shuttle bus service is impeccable - on time and the driver was nice and professional.

“Plus a great view of Calgary's downtown skyline”

Good night's stay in Calgary's cross town neighbourhood. Quick drive from the airport. Pool is small but nice. Great hot tub. Exercise room looked good. Rooms were clean and serviceable. Staff was excellent!

“A quality example of Hotel”

Stayed here for the convenient location and price. I was pleasantly surprised as the last time we stayed at this hotel they had renovations going on and they've done an excellent job updating the place. Stayed here with my wife and 2 children (8 and 11). Had all the ammenities we needed for our 1 night stay and i would not hesitate to stay here again.

“Overpriced, Overrated”

I usually stay at economy hotels. However, I've worked in the Luxury Hotel industry and I have a good idea of hotel standards. This was an important trip for my wife and myself so I decided to pay a bit more (nearly twice of my regular fare) for a better experience. The Airport shuttle will pick you up at YYC bay 10, do not confuse this with door 10. The driver was very polite and helpful, he even returned a $10 bill he found in the van. The first impression was OK, nothing to die for. The room (2 queen) is a bit narrow. We had a lot of luggage (5 large cases and 2 medium) and that was enough to fill 75% of the empty space in the room. The beds were nice and clean. The bathroom was small but OK, however, the toilet seat was the smallest I've ever seen. If you're a man you will have problems sitting there. The room curtains cover the AC unit, so all the heating goes to the window. That or you have to sleep with the curtains open (the window was at street level). The food prices are high and some of the staff at the restaurant seemed like they had something better to do. The next morning I had an ugly surprise when I realized the breakfast wasn't complimentary. At the published rate that's the least I would expect. I had to extent my stay another night, and they didn't honor my Expedia rate (about 25% less), so I had to pay more and still no breakfast. The Cal Zoo and Cal Tower are between 6 and 7 Km away, enough for a $25 taxi ride.
