This was the fourth time we had stayed at the hotel. Everything was great apart from the noise from the Flamenco evening, we were on the 3rd floor and could still hear the stamping of feet! We had requested a quiet room.

Most important reason for loving this hotel: the hotel staff spoke English (most people in the area only speak Spanish and a bit of German) and they were very helpful translating things for us when needed.
The reception desk is manned 24/7 and there is a nice swimming pool in the garden, which is open all day and all night.
Handy, because we were exploring the rest of the island with a rented scooter every day, and often returned "home" late.
the hotel is located near a picturesque beach & great hiking mountains.

I would not recommend this hotel it was dated and ready for a makeover. The rooms although spacious were tired, no bath and a permanent smell of sewage everywhere. The pool and spa looked old and dirty. The food was geared to the german clientele and not appetising at all. We were charged extra for drinks but not told in advance. The resort is german orientated and although a nice beach it was very busy. The staff were pleasant and as helpful as they could be under the circumstances.
We booked this last minute through Expedia and were reasonably happy with the choice. The clientele is 99% German and despite there being many signs prohibiting the reserving of sunbeds, there was not a space by the pool not sporting a towel by the time we opened our curtains in the morning. We prefered to go to nearby beaches having renting a car anyway so this did not matter to us but if you do like to sit by a pool it may be irratating. The food was good and plentiful. The lack of fruit juice was a shame as was the unplesant tea and coffee only available from vending machines. Not much service in the drinks line and what there was, was provided by a rather miserable cross chap. The hotel manager was friendly and helpful as were the reception staff.
