“Avoid this Hotel”
The hotel is situated in one of the worst neighborhoods in Cairo, an extremely dirty street. The street was also too noisy; it was virtually impossible for me to sleep becuase of the noise coming from the street (even @ 4AM or 5AM). If you're a light sleeper, you don't want to stay in this hotel. My girlfriend (arab citizen) and I (Spanish) wanted to stay in the hotel, but the check in desk informed us that we cannot stay because we don't have a marriage certificate, we had to tip off the front desk staff to solve this! If we were both forigners it wouldn't have been an issue they informed us!! So, watch out!
“Travel budget will determine future usage”
My major concern with the hotel has to do with general housekeeping and soft furnishing/beddings. From reception to rooms, work space and movement areas are usually clean, but a look at corners and back of chairs, beds, etc will reveal that the housekeepers are not good enough and are also poorly supervised. This I pointed out to the Manager on duty. The room soft furnishings and beddings also requires improvement for this hotel to really be a three star hotel. But the workers are very pleasant and eager to help. The location makes it very easy to move around, though the environment could be very rowdy in the night because it's such a busy area.
“not bad.”
Upon arriving at the hotel, the manager on duty (at 11pm!!) opened my taxi door and greeted me in english (his english is decent). the room didn´t have two twin beds, but it did have two double beds--very firm and easy to sleep in!! the sheets and entire room smelled musky and dusty. The shower/tub looked very old but the shower head has amazing water pressure, and the water goes from cold to hot in 0.5 seconds!! The elevators are older and slower. the rooftop pool is great!!! you can see the entire city from there, but its windy!!! the restaurant was weird. The first time, it took them 30 minutes to make an order of onion rings and bring them to me, and the manager waited on me and spoke no english. the second time was much better and they brought me extra food at no charge. overall, i would recommend. it was just smelly inside is all.
“Ok hotel.”
It was a decent hotel but it was overpriced. The service wasn't too great. Our phone and refrigerator did not work. When we needed help, they didn't seem to want to help us. Also, the location of the hotel wasn't too great. Everything was very far from the hotel
“Clean good value hotel for independant travelers”
This is not a hotel where you can stroll around the nieghborhhood after a nice FREE breakfast or dinner in the hotel restaurant. There was no mention of the free dinner buffet in the offer but when I checked in they included that, and it really made this a very good option for saving a few bucks. This is a good deal if you are going out sightseeing all day and night and just need a nice clean comfortable place to rest and get ready for another day.
“Reasonable Accomodations with Courteous Staff”
Accomodations were appropriate for type of trip I took - Short visit and mostly out all day sight-seeing. Staff was courteous and made courtesy calls to check if anything was needed. Room was clean and comfortable. However, for more extended trip with plans to spend alot of time in hotel, this hotel may not be appropriate. Nice lounge and pool on the roof, but the amentities are limited and not much to do within walking distance. Overall, expectations were met and satisfied with experience - note: I came in requiring low maintenance. Only disatisfying thing was no clock for telling time or setting an alarm in room nor wake-up call service available.
“NO NO stay away from this hotel, Worst place to stay”
We asked for non-smoking room, the whole hotel is a smoking place, the chef in cafeteria smokes when he works in the cafe. All the managers are heavy smokers in hotel. The shower does not operate right. You would have to stick to the wall and knees on the faucet to be under thw water and water becomes hot all of a sudden and extreme cold next seconds after. the cleaning crew must be told to clean otherwise they will not bother. the noise from outside street prevents you from sleeping window is not sealed right. We made reservation for four and they gave us two bedroom with two added beds. I never got a good night sleep there. Do not recomend this hotel at all. No NO
“Good Service for the price”
The hotel and staff were both good
“Nice Hotel”
Hotel is nice and only a few miles south of the main part of Cairo. The rooftop bar and pool offer great views of the pyramids and the whole city of Cairo.
“Very unpleasant stay”
When we arrived it was apparent that the bathroom had not been cleaned since the last guests. After complaining we were offered to see two other rooms to choose from but neither of those had cleaned bathrooms either. Instead the staff offered to clean one "again" for us which consisted of wiping the bath with a towel and flushing the loo whilst wearing muddy boots and not washing the floor afterwards. Further complaining led to a proper clean, and so we decided to stay as we didn't want to lose our money. That evening there was no hot water and the loo broke. The next morning we asked to see the manager who said that there was no record of any of our complaints and so he could only offer us a free breakfast which should have been included in the room rate anyway, or we would not have eaten it as it was disappointing. On another note, the location is not useful at all for sightseeing in Cairo or for the pyramids.
