“Great place for a 1 night airport stopover in Cairo”
We had to stay in Cairo for 1 night before travelling to elsewhere in Egypt. This hotel was absolutely fantastic. The welcome was terrific, all bags handled, drink whilst checking in, the food in the Asian restaurant was first class. Go here, you will not be disappointed!!
“Safi”
Very good hotel. very clean, staff is very friendly and very helpful. I recommend it. Thank you.
“Fantastic awesome service, everyone was extremely kind and accomodating.”
Fantastic hotel! Got married while we were in Cairo and everyone was so kind to us. It is not an easy process to be married in Egypt. Everyone was helpful and all the staff recognized us and we felt like we were in our home away from home. The hotel was extremely clean, the friendly staff were always professional and helpful. I will go back to this hotel again in the future. This was my second trip to Egypt and certainly not my last! The only problem we had was our internet connection but this was not the hotel's fault but that of their provider and could not be helped. Security was also awesome! Prices for everything was excellent and the food at the hotel was wonderful! Lots of choice! The pool is clean and refreshing all the services were excellent ... and you could watch the riding stables every day and ride yourself if you wanted to!
“Old and nice otel having something interesting than the downtown hotels.”
It is ok for it is close to the airport. And some business areas like Nasr City, heliopolis. But not for the pyramits and the center Cairo. I believe they have more amenities than the center hotels like, a small horse riding facility, a wide garden, small but efficient spa.
“Grate service, no free internet in the rooms or lobby”
Upon request the hotel organized a person to meet us before passport control and a hotel car was waiting ready to pick us up. At check-in we had pa nice surprise of separate check-in table and had a grate service and very warm reception by Ms. Madonna. Though it was unpleasant to know there is not free internet inside the hotel. Only in the bar outside the hotel building. And you can not pay for the Internet only, you need to upgrade for free drinks and Internet which will cost you $50/day. Grate service, grate food. Nice bar within hotel area. Grade big rooms, grate TV channels selection. HUGE drawback is the lack of free Internet. Come on guys, we are in 2011. I stayed during weekend which is why Internet in the rooms was not critical. Though I will prefer the hotel with free Internet inn the rooms if I will stay during weekdays next.
“Oasis”
Nice place with friendly people.
“Minor Irritation”
Prior to booking, we saw that it was necessary to contact the hotel 24 hours prior to arrival in order to arrange for a pick-up at the airport. My flight (from the mainland United States) was delayed, and I ended up arriving approximately 5 hours after my initial scheduled arrival time. While waiting for my connection into Cairo (this was 5-6 hours before my original scheduled arrival time in Cairo), I called the hotel to explain that I would be arriving later than planned and asked to have the hotel pick me up at my new arrival time. The hotel refused to do so., because I was not giving them a minimum of 24 hours advance notice of my (new) arrival time. I was not pleased. I think the hotel should characterize the "airport shuttle" as something more like "transportation if the traveler meets all requirements and has no last-minute changes in plans." Anyone thinking of staying here should NOT have the airport shuttle as a primary consideration.
“Very good hotel near airport”
The hotel is very convenient for the airport as is very close - they provide a free shuttle bus. For a 5* hotel the prices are very reasonable. They have an excellent outdoor pool, fitness room including steam room and sauna. The staff were friendly and helpful which is a bonus in Egypt. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The only drawback to be aware of is the location is a long way from any of the sites, so there is little in the surrounding area. They do have shuttle buses to get you into town and back again to ask about these if you might need them. Overall very please.
“Nice place to stay for business”
Nice hotel, grate to stay for business trip as it's close to the airport. The only wired thing is that this time the hotel did not offer me the shuttlembus FROM the airport. I called reception before arrival but they said that I can take the bus if I can see it but better take a taxi.
“The hotel should be 4-star quality and it costs a lot for the internet”
Upon the arrival at the hotel, the reception suggested we can upgrade from "Superior" to "Executive" room which incl two breakfasts, light snack, free soft drink all day and a kettle. It doesn't incl the internet which is expensive or you can choose to use the free Wi-Fi at the cafe across the street (of course it costs you to order a drink). Becuase it is too expensive so we didn't take the offer. Later on during the day we noticed there wasn't any coffee/tea or kettle in the room when we wanted to make some tea. So we called the reception & was transferred to housekeeping then the customer service and was told the type of room "superior room" we picked do not incl a kettle. It is going to cost us if we are asking for one, we were shocked and asked them why becuase ever a motel in North American will offer a kettle w tea bag/coffee which this is a 5-star hotel and we have to pay. The CS rep apologized and sent us a kettle "for free". The hotel is nice but properly should be 4-star becuase the carpet has stain, the furniture need to be renovate and the shower is not hot enough. We also had an incident at the pool, we were told only 2 persons are allow in the pool which will be charge to have my newphen who came and visit us to stay at the lounge chair. The way the stuff who was talking to us was so unprofessional, he almost wanted to pull him out of the pool area until we paid. It was so embrassed and unprofessional treated in a 5-star hotel.
