My husband and I recently spent five nights and 4 days at the San Ignacio Hotel. To avoid the heat of the day we did our trips to the Mayan sites in the morning and evening. During the afternoon we enjoyed a breeze on the balcony where we read, played scrabble and swam in the beautiful pool. The staff was very attentive and the meals were excellent. The hotel is a great place to view birds and we really enjoyed the Iguana project located there. We thought we were going to get a lot of rain but the August weather was perfect every day and the rates are much lower than in high season. Stephanna Tewey, Wilmington, NC

This is a nice lodge just a distance from town. The room was a good value and was kept clean. This property has a jungle setting with a lot of trees and flowers. There is a nice pool and deck also. The food in the restaurant was very good with a limited menu. The staff was very friendly and helpful when planning activities. I will stay here again.

Windy Hill had one of the nicest staff I've ever met at a resort. They took pride in where they worked, and went out of their way to make you feel at home. The site was emaculatly landscaped. All the cottages were well kept and comfortable. The hotel provided tours that were very comparable in price to the ones in town. You do need to take a cab into town if you want to do something on your own, but it is inexpensive and easy. I would highly recommend Windy Hill if you plan to visit San Ignacio.

Mike and Jenny provided a welcoming and comfortable environment for me and my extended family.
The rooms are large, clean and well appointed.
The resort is well located, just a short trip up the Pine Ridge Mountain track, however if you're planning to hire a car, make sure it's a 4 x 4.
Gumbo Limbo is a great choice for jungle adventures in Belize.
We would definitely return.
