“We will go every year”
Almost would like to not to recommend this hotel so it stays our little secret.;-))) We been staying here in the last 3 years every summer. very kind friendly and helpful staff .Perfect location, clean well equipt rooms, Free sunbeds on the beach, walking distance to private beach, RECOMMENDED. Thank you for the great holiday again. Left excellent reviews every year.Do not believe to the negative reviews!!!
“second time there and still love it.”
Stayed at Palm Village 09/2010 for the second time. our second visit was as relaxing and pleasant as the first time. This time we invited our friends too. They also fell in love with the place. The village is easy access, great facilities , beaches around Villasimius far the best.Clear water , suitable for kids too. Palm village staff cant help you enough. This year my brother in law will take his family there and we are going again in september. the only downside:beach close in september. we think the beach facilities should be there as long as the hotel is open.
“Very friendly, quiet well located hotel”
A nice clean suite with loads of space and tucked away at the back of the small to medium sized complex. A paved aread for the kids to run around and a very small grassed area at the bottom end. The pool was deep so good for swimmers and a small plunge pool which was good enough for the kids to splash around in. There was a cafe/bar where you could get basic meals, breakfast and coffee and alcoholic drinks. The only problem with the suite was the air conditioning broke a few days after we arrived but the hotel did work hard to get it fixed before the end of the week of stay. The beach was great - clean, close enough to walk without small children or just a very short drive, and it sloped away very gently into the water. The village had loads of shops, bars/restaurants however you need to be wary as none of the restaurants open until 19.00 to eat in the evening or of course eat at lunchtime. Cagliari was a lovely old town in the centre worh a visit, but 1.25 hours drive.
“Beautiful part of the world”
We booked this hotel based on the reviews of others and wernt disappointed at all. Right from the first day the staff were extremely helpful and although our Italian was poor to say the least they were happy to talk in English and were very clear and very helpful. The room itself was ideal for us and had a lovely spacious shower/toilet. There are facilities for you to cook and all the utensils are supplied, but we ate out every night so didnt use them. The pool area was lovely and although the steps into the pool were a little rickety, overall a lovely little area. The location of the hotel was ideal, its a 10 min walk to the beach and about the same into the very pretty town of Villasimius. The beach was outstanding and the hotel provides you with a free beach towel, sunbed and parasol, which is a bonus. Try and explore the beach around the corner 'Notteri' absolutely stunning area with the wild flamingos behind too!! We hired a car whilst there to explore a little more, and about 20 mins eastwards there is a beautiful beach called 'Cala Pira'. I would recommend this as a must see if you are a beach lover, the sand is white and the water the clearest this side of the caribbean!! Overall a beautiful island with something for every taste, we only went for 5 days but will definitely be going again next year for 2 weeks. This time of year is ideal also if you want a quiet break away as most of the tourists have gone home!!
“Good hotel for price”
It was a good hotel a 7 minute walk to the beach. There wass a kichenbut no cleaning materials. The hotel has a private beach and a good pool at their other hotel the green village.
“NIce and quiet, but bring an Italian phrase book to speak to the staff.”
The hotel has few amenities for a 3 star hotel. There was no jaccuzzi, there was no outdoor pool. The 'indoor pool' was actually the outdoor pool with a poorly maintained plastic 'greenhouse' over it. The pool was in very pool repair and had many broken tiles and the steps into the pool were loose. One day we were joined in the pool by a frog!! The bar had a limited range of drinks on offer, and the buffet breakfast was nothing beyond what you could purchase from the local supermarket. Luckily the aprtments themselves were well equipped and very clean. Out of season (April. Easter holidays), so the port was desolate and thus there were not boat trips to visit the many beautiful sandy coves. The 'private beach' for the hotel was non-existent - BUT we virtullay had the unspoilt white sand beach to ourselves. Worth visiting the off licence, and the supermarket at the bottom of the high street. BUT do not buy crisps at the off licence as it cost more than a main meal!! and we were charged the equivalent cost of 3 pizzas just for use of napkins at La Galleria! All in all, a beautiful unspoilt part of Sardinia worth walking around, good as everything is shut from 1pm for 5 hrs and again at 8pm - incl the hotel bar/reception. Watch out for tourist traps (Dont book a taxi through the hotel for 300E, when the bus both ways for 4 people is 48E). If you get the bus to the airport, it is a 1hr 20min bus drive to the bus station at Cagliari. Then to Elmas airport (about 15min drive).
“Sure we will be back”
I stayed at Palm Village oct 2009 with my boyfriend, the most relaxing break we ever had!!! age 32. no kids, Helpful staff, clean well equiped apartmants, nice quiet area, 10 min walk to beach ,10 min to village. free parking, almost the best beach in Vilasimus. we drove around the area our beach was the cleanest, most peaceful one. Been around the word myself but this is the first place we going back this year to relax again, Highly recomened ,
“Not Going Back There Again :(”
The hotel room was nice and clean, but i was very disappointed to find out that we had to pay 7 Euros per night for the air conditioning! When it's 30 degrees and it's too hot at night, you need air con as standard - after all, it's included in every other hotel you stay in. Also, the pool was filthy - had loads of white matter floating in the water and didn't look as though it had been cleaned in months. I wouldn't stay here again, especially if you had children.
“Fantastic value for money”
Very very nice place to spend few days around. We rented car in Cagliari at the airport and drove to Villasimius for 4 day stay. Location of the hotel isn't greatest but with everyone having a car it is irrelevant. Beach near hotel is nice but there are much much nicer beaches around, take for example any on the Costa Rei coast. Only 15min drive but views and surroundings are outstanding. Overall we loved Sardinia and Villasimius which didn't loose its charm despite tourists (unlike some other small villages on Sardinia). There are no huge multi-storey hotels etc. Its definitely place to go and relax rather then have party holidays. If I ever go back to Sardinia for a short break and I hope I will, it will be Villasimius and definitely Palm Village.
“Cozy hotel for reasonable price”
Very comfortably suited, in between beach and city of Villasimius. All the necessary things are inside the room, room service works fine also. Apart from over-freezing fridge there's nothing to complain about :)

Villasimius, Italy: South east of Cagliari, this popular resort was once a quiet fishing village framed by fragrant Mediterranean pine trees and vegetation. The surrounding countryside is still beautiful and the waters are crystal clear perfect for snorkelling, diving and glass-bottomed boat trips. The sea is sprinkled with little islands, the largest of which are the Isola dei Cavoli and Isola Serpentara, part of a marine reserve area.
