“Beautiful Hotel and Wonderful Staff”

Booked a triple room and it was huge. The bathroom was bigger than most hotels I have stayed in! From first arrival and check in, the staff were outstanding, very welcoming and all spoke very good English. They were very helpful and really helped to make the stay. The hotels location is about an hours drive from Cagliari, and around a 5 minute drive from Villasimius. So, a hire car is pretty much essential. The hotel has 2 lovely pools and although it was end of season when we went, the slightly cool and cloudy weather did not stop my son from enjoying both every day we were there. We were B&B and the breakfast was very good. Essentially continental but with a huge selection of fruit, cakes and also scrambled and boiled eggs and bacon. Evening meals were very good, we eat in the hotel twice and although expensive, we found that all the local restaurants were similarly priced so if you can get a good half board deal I think that would be the best option. If you are looking for total relaxation then I would say you cant go wrong with a couple of days at this place.

“Love Cruccuris Resort”

Had a wonderful holiday, lovely Hotel very caring staff, Great food and weather. The garden at this hotel is wonderfull. Villasimius is a lovely little town with lots of great beaches.

“Sardinia”

The hotel was found to be very clean, well maintained with very helpful and pleasant staff. Rooms within a close distance to two large pools, which we often found we had to ourselves, but not close enough to allow any users to disturb us. Hotel provided free towels and sun loungers for use around pool and grounds. The only slight grumble we found with the hotel was the location. We expected this as other reviewers had noted that the hotel is off the main road (up a dirt track) and is some distance away from the nearest town centre. A car or taxi is essential in order to get to other ammenities although the hotel does offer a bus to a sister hotel located on the beach. The hotel offers a quiet and peaceful location in order to lap up the sun and de-stress.

Area recommendations

Cagliari provided some historical attractions and more extensive shopping but the surrounding towns/villages to the hotel offerred little, other than some souvenir shopping and a few resturants. Some excellent local beaches though.

Getting there

The hotel is easy to miss as it is a little way off the main road, up a dirt track. From Cagliari airport, head for Villaimius. Hotel is on left about a mile before Villaimius - keep an eye out for blue hotel signs at side of road.

Getting around

Taxi's or a hire car is essential, as no local rail stations and we didn't see a local bus the entire time we were there!

“Lovely Hotel, in a beautiful resort”

Cruccuris was a great hotel. Good living conditions with friendly and english speaking hotel staff. The evening dinner was fantastic and well worth staying for even if you are just booked for bed and breakfast as it far surpasses the restaurant meals in Villasimius itself. It was very much a couple's hotel with only one baby present and no children around. We really would recommend villasimius, the beaches are completely beautiful!

Definitely hire a car - I can't see how you would cope without one!

“Lovely little hotel”

Small hotel in the hills outside Villasimius. Everyone was very hospitible and helpful. Lovely pool area and very quiet as off the beaten track. The only thing that was a problem was that there were 3 of us in the bedroom and the bed that the third person was in was not big enough for an adult. Apart from that I would recommend this hotel highly.

“Superb!”

The resort is in a tranquil setting, with gorgeous views down the sloping hills to the sea. The grounds themselves are romantically landscaped with abundant flora. The hotel itself is exquisitely maintained throughout, from the pool to your room, and everywhere in between. The staff couldn't be more helpful, and the breakfast is very good value.

Traveller's tip

The whole area is delightful, but you need a small car to get around and visit the nearby beaches and restaurants. Most places close for the siesta (approx 1pm - 4pm).

Casette con finiture curate in un bellissimo giardino, riservate e silenziose, due piscine e un personale di squisita cortesia. I servizi di ristorazione e di cura alla persona sono la ciliegina sulla torta.
