Arrived late after airline delay. Staff great and voluntarily gave us later check out. Staff helped us with rental car contacts and we decided to use driver instead and they arranged a great driver. Room was great breakfast great nice feeling to hotel. Would thoroughly recommend
Spent first two weeks in Pula and one week in Cagliari (the week in the city was too long for us) Saw and did what we could in that week. Prices in EU were not too bad. Hubby and I got hair cut for 42 EU for both (I pay that much for myself) Coffee and beer and meals (lots of sea food) were reasonably priced.
Eclectic mix of decoration styles, but lovely home from home. Only slight downside was a lack of natural light in the room, but otherwise brilliant. Helpful and friendly staff at all hours. Very comfortable stay.
Location wise fine, but room very basic and small for price. They lost my friends case which took 2.5 hrs to locate and we never found out where it went to. Much Italian theatre over this. We were then promised an upgrade the following day as we had booked an additional 2 days after the end of the tour, but they changed their mind in the morning. Reception staff didn't or wouldn't assist with simple information/help requests as we were considered poor tourists associated with a Trafalgar tour group. Very disappointing, as I feel the culture of the front office staff needs some serious retraining.
Very good, lots of facilities close by. You have to park and walk with luggage for a few minutes over very busy roads, but it's achievable. Just need to keep your eyes on the road. Loads of restaurants close by.
Gateway to Sardinia, this major port is the island capital. Cagliari’s compact, medieval centre is the Castello, from where there are panoramic views. The National Archaeological Museum is Sardinia’s most important museum, containing a glittering collection of bronzes depicting the story of the ancient Nuraghe (stone tower) warriors. The lively Marina quarter is a tangle of alleyways lined with restaurants specialising in first-class seafood.
