Modern luxury

Posted 02-Nov-2014
Pros: Cleanliness and breakfast.
Cons: More care taken over billing.
Location: Good with seafront location.
Good stay. Found a little impersonal however the room was extremely clean with fantastic lighting and superb bath. Bill incorrect which was a little annoying. Good location in old town.

Form over Function

Posted 10-Oct-2014
Pros: The ultra modern architecture was pretty.
Cons: More staff, better service, improve cooling system. The restaurant was just OK, again, short staffed.
Location: This hotel is at the very tip of the peninsula. We did not find much of interest in Cadiz, better to stay in Jerez.
This hotel is visually beautiful and unique. It has a lovely oceanfront setting. Unfortunately, it feels more like a gallery than a comfortable place to sleep. The bed sits in the middle if the room, facing the view, but also directly into the windows of another building. The internal walls are primarily glass. The room temperature was too hot. Although they have a sophisticated system and could tell me the exact temperature from the desk, it couldn't be improved. The hotel seemed very under staffed, one person was usually at the desk and cafe for this large hotel.

A slice of paradise.

Posted 02-Oct-2014
Pros: Good value, beautiful surroundings and excellent service.
Location: Situated about 10 minutes drive from Ronda in the middle of beautiful countryside.
From the moment we arrived until we left we had the most friendly service we have experienced in a long while. Our room was spacious and had a private courtyard to the rear which was tranquil and quiet. Our dinner was excellent. We chose from the fixed menu and were not disappointed. The wine ( white Rioja ) was excellent and good value for money. Breakfast was taken on the terrace with a wonderful view across the swimming pool and to the valley below. We were sad to leave and will definitely visit again.

Nice hotel but needs a concierge

Posted 03-Sep-2014
Beautiful rooms and excellent location. Breakfast buffet delicious with plenty of options. Big drawback is that they need a concierge and more staff that speak English - not sure about other languages. Aside from maps of the old town and ability to call a taxi they are not very helpful and do not have information to offer.

This hotel could be one of the best in Spain

Posted 27-Jun-2014
Beautiful hotel, perfect location, novel design, archectitural masterpiece. Price is high especially for Cadiz but this is a 5 star hotel with all the amenities. Our personal experience is described below. We traveled with two small children, reserved two rooms and requested that they interconnect. When we arrived we were given two rooms, with nice amenities and a beautiful view, but on either side of the main elevator bank so not interconnecting. The result was an experience which was good but not extraordinary. This hotel could be one of the best in Spain.  It already has the location and facilities. What it needs is staff who are willing to create the perfect experience no matter what it takes. Not just good but great!  The parador system is something special and can and should be the envy of the rest of the world.  Well organized, caring and empowered staff are what separate the "extraordinary" from the "ordinary". With a little more effort I believe the Parador of Cádiz can get the there.

Great location

Posted 01-Nov-2013 on Hotels.com
We had a peaceful, comfortable and spotlessly clean room, with a great view overlooking the hotel pools and sea. The food choices and service at breakfast were excellent. The swimming pool was too cold for us, despite the glorious October sunshine, so we tried the indoor spa pool which proved to be a relaxing experience. The location is perfect for exploring this part of town, with easy access to buses, boats and trains, and great places to eat.
