“Nice hotel, nice town”

Nice hotel with modern decor close to the centre of town. Jerez is a nice town. It's pretty quiet - if you're looking for great nightlife this is NOT the town for you. The centre of town is a fairly typical old Spanish town with a maze of little streets and small tapas bars. The hotel is less than five minutes walk from the Plaza Arenal which is probably the closest thing to the centrepoint of the town. I wouldn't recommend a long holiday in Jerez unless you're obsessed with Sherry. There is only a limited amount to see and do. But it's good for a long weekend or week-long break.

“Great little hotel in Jerez”

Highly recommended, great modern hotel that used to be a convent. Check it out!

“Excellent Location”

The hotel staff were very pleasant to deal with, however - be patient - English is not their first language. The rooms were very well appointed, awesome shower!!! The location is excellent as well, very near shopping and some nice restaraunts - and a quick cab ride to the airport.

“A great stay.”

Our visit at the Itaca Hotel Jerez was tops from beginning to end. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. Even though our son spoke Spanish, the staff gladly spoke English with my wife and I. The hotel was clean, attractive, and well maintained. The check in and check out process was excellent. Our room overlooked a beautiful plaza. The Wifi worked well.

“Great central location...”

Jerez is ideal for a city break, and I would recommend Barecelo Jerez. Staff, apart from one VERY miserable and surly male breakfast waiter, were all charming and very polite. Decor, cleanliness in rooms and public areas good. Roof terrace closed when we went, which was a pity. weather was pleasant and spring-like........though locals all wore overcoats!!We had room at front of hotel with small balcony overlooking charming square. Breakfast typical Mediterranean, OK but nothing special. Car parking is on the street, 1.70 euro for 2 hr max, or can use local car park for 12 euro for 24 hr period. We flew into GIB, however, if you flew into Jerez, you probably wouldn't need a car anyway. Train station is also close by.

“Nice hotel in central location”

The hotel is an attractive old building, although the rooms have been furnished in a modern style. It's convenient for all the main sights - the Alcazar, Tio Pepe bodega, the cathedral and the shopping area, and it's also only a short walk from the train and bus stations. The rooms have air-con/heating and also a couple of UK/US TV news channels, but the shower wasn't particularly powerful. Breakfast was good with a nice selection of breads and pastries. Overall a good choice for a stay in Jerez.

“Friendly Comfort In Jerez”

Itaca is a very pleasant hotel, well located within walking distance of the city center and the chief tourist attractions of Jerez. Staff are competent and friendly. Most have good English. We had a room at the front overlooking the square. Road traffic was a bit noisy at night and the wifi signal was rather weak. You could always close the windows but I loved the cool fresh air and decided the traffic noise could be tolerated although not everybody might agree. The weak wifi was more of a pain after one has chosen a hotel that proudly boasts free wifi - but that would be our only complaint.
