Nice Hotel, close to beach

Posted 07-May-2014
Pros: Location and staff excellent
Cons: Bar / Cafeteria could be open all day and until late evening.
Staff were very friendly and helpfull. Excellent location, only drawback was that the bar / cafeteria was only open for very limited hours.

A good Hotel close to Hospital this was our need.

Posted 30-Apr-2014
Pros: Hotel is clean and comfortable.Very helpful staff. Good room service.Sorry we do not speak Spanish but communication in English was very good.
Cons: A bath tub with shower and a more comfortable mattress may be helpful.
Location: We had hardly any time to explore the place.
Our visit to Cadiz was due to an emergency arising from an accident to one of our family who sustained fracture and was admitted to the University Hospital nearby. This Hotel is within walking distance to the Hospital which was a great help. So our visit to Cadiz was not for a holiday. Overall we liked our stay in this Hotel. Final comment will be this that verbal communication outside the hotel is very difficult for English speaking people and as such this is not suitable for English speaking tourists and moreover the Airports are quite far from town centres.

Great location with friendly staff

Posted 26-Aug-2013
Pros: Mainly location, but staff were helpful about the area and the apartment was lovely
Cons: A triple room should have have at least one double and one single
Location: Beach within yards. Restaurants all around and a number 7 bus from outside the hotel to the old town which is wonderful
Gave us free upgrade to appartment which was lovely. The only downside was that we had booked a triple room and had to persuade staff to make up sofa bed as they could not see why our 14 year old couldn't share our double bed! Once that had been sorted then it was an excellent stay

Our overnight stay at Hotel Spa Cadiz Plaza

Posted 30-Aug-2011 on Hotels.com
Very easy to find as Hotel located just behind main sea-front, and is sign-posted as you enter the modern end of Cadiz. Location is ideal for those exploring Cadiz, nice walk along sea-front to Historic old Cadiz. Hotel does have limited sea-views, 4th floor reserved for smokers only - watch out if non-smokers, as we being non-smokers were initially given a room on the 4th floor!!! The Hotel had another room thankfully, and was not an issue for them to move to non-smoking room. As the majority of us these days are non-smokers, I thought this was a bad mark against the Hotel as we were not offered a non-smoking room in the first place, or even made aware that the 4th floor was smoking rooms only! Overall I can recommend the Hotel, but the breakfast service was very basic and in our view not good enough considering the price of its rooms!!!

Hotel Spa Cadiz

Posted 05-Jul-2011 on Hotels.com
This hotel is good value for money. The location of this hotel is supreme, in the centre of town, with the beach just a 30 second stroll from the door. The long promenade is lined with restaurants, cafes and ice-cream bars. There are good basic facilitites, and a spa to boot. In addition, the staff are friendly and quite helpful, with suggestions and advice for local activities and trips. On the minus side, the breakfast is small and expensive, but you don't have to go far for a cheaper alternative. All round, it was perfect for what we needed. and we would recommend it.
