3-star but great position, covered parking
Small room, but very clean and functional, and everything worked properly. 3-star and doesn’t claim to be more. Breakfast average with hot and cold items and cut fresh fruit etc. Very helpful staff. Have a feeling that the breakfast mini-croissants, muffins snd cured ham were all older than the staff, though.

The hotel is very hard to find, GPS couldn't find the right location, we have to drive several miles because left turns are not allowed on main street for several miles. It is an outdate building but for one night was ok.

Great location very close the beach. While the property was a bit dated, it was very clean and well maintained. The staff was so kind and helpful. Met our expectations for a 3 star hotel.

We enjoyed our stay
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was difficult to find initially - there were some road signs for Hotel Regio 1 and Hotel Regio 2 but nearer the actual hotel these seemed to disappear. Hotel was fine. There are a few steps up to the lift.

2 blocks to beach, on bus line
Good ac, so so wifi, parking at hotel, not off site, on bus line to historic area. Beach 2 blocks away, with lounge chairs available for 5 Euro and a convenient restaurant. They wanted to charge $20 Euro per day for use of refrigerator, which they refer to as an empty minibar.

Room was too hot, otherwise good.
Nice hotel, friendly staff & good location. Which was all spoilt by air conditioning not working in our room making it stifling. We did complain & they told us there was a problem with it & it was being repaired. Our friends room was exactly the same, found it very strange the air conditioning was working throughout the rest of the hotel. All in all an uncomfortable stay.

The room was comfortable and the staff was helpful. Loved the animals made out of the clean towels. However, the Hotels.com presentation was misleading. While a kettle appeared in the picture, it was only for higher priced rooms. The refrigerator required a key and an additional 20 Euros so it wasted space and costs extra to use and this should have been made obvious on Hotels.com before booking. It was over priced for what was provided and had I known in advance what I was not getting (refrigerator and kettle) I would not made the reservation. Hotel staff did not know the reservation had anything to do with Hotels.com, only Expedia, which had I know in advance I may not have used the Hotels.com site.
Dear Mr. Enders, We appreciate your opinion as well as the time dedicated to delivering it. We are glad to positively highlight our reception and cleaning staff, as well as the comfort of the room in which you stayed. However, in reference to your complaints we have to say firstly that although we receive the booking directly from Expedia, you may have made that reservation from somewhere else. This is because Expedia works with different distribution channels, which does not mean that the information and prices you can see on Hotels.com as well as on Expedia website are different from our Hotel. Everything is the same except the distribution channel, therefore, it does not matter that the staff did not know that your reservation was made through Hotels.com. Secondly, you complained and keep complaining that in the room you chose (standard double room) there was no kettle and the minibar was closed. You also say the information on Expedia's website was confusing and, according to you, that was the mistake. Let us correct you when we consider you are totally wrong because with these words the only thing you are looking for is to damage our reputation. Both on the Expedia website and the Hotels.com website, as our own website does not include the minibar as a free and the kettle you said you saw in a photo, only appears in the photo of a superior double room, which is clearly pointed out, we scam no one. That fact seems to have been overlooked by you, even though it is posted on the website and during your stay you were kindly informed at the hotel reception and subsequently through Expedia customer service. However, you seem to want make everyone believe that the mistake is ours, when we have to say that it is solely yours because you do not read correctly what you hire. We assure you that everything appears very clear because we want the client to have no doubt. Finally, you complain because the rate was too expensive. About this, we already explained you and now kindly we are going to repeat it again. You have come to visit Cadiz in high season, in full party Carnival. Of course, the price is higher than the other seasons of the year. In any case, before booking, you see the price you are going to pay and if you are not agree with it, don’t book it or book somewhere cheaper if you find it. Sincerely, *** HOTEL REGIO 2 ***

Although we had a few inconveniences at our arrival with our room, the staff was quick to accommodate us . The air conditioning could use an overhaul and in such hot climate it is a must. The rooms were very clean. The hotel has parking on site which although not free ,very convenient. All is within walking distance . The beaches are about 250 metres from the hotel. Coffee shops ,restaurants and shops all around the hotel.

Good for a short visit.
We went sightseeing to old town.There is a public bus that will take you there, but we walked. There is parking on streets behind the hotel.Our room was smal, but comfortable.There are 2 flights of stairs before you get into the elevator and that could be a problem for some.Overall,the hotel is OK.

We must tell you, talking about the access, that we have two sets of stairs before you get the elevators. However, beside those two sets of stairs, we have a wheel chair system each. The system outside are really covered but when some people need it, we uncovered in a few seconds and, of course, we help all our clients during the access. It could have been better
Very disappointed with this hotel because me and my friend came there to party and have a good time and they would not allow us to bring anyone to our room if it wasn't us two. So that ruined my whole night.

Dear customer, Our Hotel policies, that you can see on Expedia website always before you make the reservation, says as follows: “Extra-person charges may apply and vary depending on property policy.” And our property policy makes very clear that “only registered guests are allowed in the guestrooms”, so only your friend and you because both of you reserved a double standard room. Therefore, only 2 persons are permitted to stay in the room. Overall OK but Hotel cuts A/C during nights...
Everything was great! We were four (4) rooms for 8 people and everybody was well surprise by this hotel. BUT, as we travelled in the "summer time" period, outside was very hot, so air conditioning was well welcome, ... but (???) for we do not know what reason, the hotel "Cuts" the air conditioning during nights!! At 2 O'Clock in the morning (and this for our 2 nights their, we were all very frustrated NOT to have AIR Climatize!!

Good for a night or two stay
The hotel was ok, the rooms a little tired and old but that doesn't bother me because I was staying only for one night. There was a fair amount of noise from other rooms evident when you are in the bathroom/door area but less so when at the beds. The fridge in the room didn't work. Heat works very well and quickly warms up the room if needed. You are just a block from the beach (which is a very nice beach) but about a €7 taxi ride into the centre part of town.

Where do I begin with this hotel, many be the many problems with our rooms including an A/C unit that can’t cool the room down, even with the small amount of cold air it blows out (you can open the window and hat works better!). Maybe the issue with the drains, to this you walk in the room, and it smells like a sewage, but the hotel management claims it to be stale water in the room (which returned the next morning), for the cleaner to beach the bathroom and have the strong bleach smell (you know the smell, that one that burns your eyes). Could it be that the hotel wanted to double charge me? maybe the intermittent free wifi ? No it has to be the super rude staff at reception (violence doesn’t solve anything, but I am sure it would have given me satisfaction!), Basically, if you are not spanish, don’t go here. The only good thing I can say about the hotel is that it’s close to the beach, but you would find a better quality of life and service if you pitched a tent instead.

El hotel está muy bien. Está muy bien situado, cercano a la playa y a 15 minutos andando del centro de la ciudad. Todo el personal es muy amable. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas y están muy limpias. Además, son muy tranquilas. Repetiremos, sin duda.
