Good price and good atmosphere...

Posted 28-Jun-2014
Pros: Staff were very helpful and easy walking distance to the beach. Pharmacy and shops were close by. It became very important as we needed to use them...
Cons: I wish the owners can talk to other building owners and make a pleasant back garden instead of awful cement tennis court.. Choose street view room!
Location: Shops, bus stop. Train station, caf├ęs are all walking distance
Pleasant 10 days in the cadiz area. The staff was helpful and breakfast was satisfactory... Expedia price was higher than we paid for each day!

Lovely hotel with nice staff and great breakfast.

Posted 28-Jun-2014
Pros: Helpful, smiling and professional attitude of staff on all levels. Superb cleanliness and everything works as it should!
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Beach around the corner. Running or walking on or by the beach with free use of exercise outdoor equipment above it. Exploring Old Town.
Great experience. Loved my week stay at Puerta Tierra including 1st class breakfast with heavenly coffee. Moments away from the great beach and short walk to the Old Town. Nicest staff I came across, fully respectful of our privacy. Comfy room perfectly clean. Can't wait to return in 2015. Silvia

Close to beach

Posted 22-Jun-2014
Pros: Cleanliness, staff, food choices, location near restaurants, very short walk to beach, ease of use of stairs.
Location: Beach, restaurants, good walk to old area and attractions.
Stayed here because it was the only hotel near where my daughter was living. Pleased with everything about the hotel. The food options were plentiful too. Nice walk to "downtown." In a good neighborhood.

Excellent hotel, very convenient.

Posted 11-May-2014
Pros: Everything. Tea/coffee facilities in room on request at no extra cost.
Cons: Not applicable
Location: 5 mins walk to 'City gate'. Compact old city area with plenty of excellent historical sites, coffee stops and restaurants.
Very well placed for exploring city on foot. Underground car park at hotel at reasonable daily rate. Reception desk staff first class and full of good advice and assistance. Excellent value for money.

Close to the beach, a short walk to Cadiz centre

Posted 28-Apr-2014
Pros: Proximity to sandy beach, and Cadiz Centre
Cons: Soundproofing the room better (minor problem)
Location: Cadiz is Brilliant to just walk around. Casa de Iberoamerica, Museum of Cadiz , Castillo de Santa Maria, Mercado Central, Sofia Reina Centro Cultural
Brilliant location, 10 mins walk from the Centre of Cadiz and also the bus/rail station, or 3 mins on the No.1 bus which stops right outside the hotel 1.10 Euro at time of writing. Very comfortable, good sized room, HUGE bed and clean. Staff speak English better than I do Spanish! Used the hotel as a room only, as there are loads of cafes and bars in the immediate area, and also a supermarket just round the corner (literally) If you go to the beach road, the No.7 bus goes all the way along the coast to Playa la Caleta and the beginning of the causeway to San Sebastian fort (where the tall lighthouse is) One minor (very minor) gripe is that some road noise does get into the room. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Old hotel - not central and needs TLC

Posted 17-Feb-2014
Pros: It is close to a grocery store
Cons: Remodelling the rooms
This hotel is not a 4 star - it is old and needs renovations. Our room was facing the back with a view of the roof of the supermarket. We wanted to avoid the front as the hotel is situated on a very busy and noisy street. The windows are old and rattled vigorously during a windy night and day. The beds were also old. The hotel is not centrally located as it is about 20 minutes from the old quarter and main tourist sites. It is however close to the beach and seaside but does not offer any views of it. The walls of the rooms are paper thin so that you can hear everything.

Pros: Clean, well positioned for beach and city centre. Rooms very good condition.
Cons: Hotel and parking identification. The parking intercom system and garage signage to reception. Facility below ground for breakfast needed atmosphere.
The Hotel was a little tricky to find initially and then the parking below ground was a little confusing getting in and out with the intercom system. Overall the Hotel was well positioned for the beach and only 15minute walk to the centre of Cadiz. The staff were friendly enough and the room was recently renovated, so in very good condition and modern. The breakfast facility was adequate. We unfortunately were there during some significant storms and on one occasion returning from the city centre were covered in sand, being blasted 200m from the beach...

Good value hotel in Cadiz

This hotel was very nice for the value. While not in the old town area of Cadiz it was a short bus ride to the old town, and close to a very nice beach. Would definitely stay here again.
