“Best Beds in Spain in this Price Range”

The reception and desk staff were exceptional. Excellent spoken English support and extremely helpful. It was end of season so the pool area was in need of some sprucing up and clena-up. The beds were the most comfortable were slept on during our 8 city tour of Spain during September. This hotel is a good 20 minute walk to town but very pleasant surroundings. Not a problem for us as we incorporate the walk into our daily routine. The buses were on strike the day we arrived. The cabs we took were very affordable. 5 Euros to the hotel from train station.

Area recommendations
A hotel closer to town would be more convenient and appropriate for those who do not enjoy walking, are not comfortable taking the local buses, or do not want to spend the money on cabs, eventhough quite affordable.
When to go
We love September but still a bit hot for most.
Getting around
The trains in Spain are exceptional and fast. Car parking charges and parking in the towns is extremely difficult. The biggest complaint I heard from other travellers was the length of time it took to drive between major centers, time wasted from the vacation. Spain is very dry in September and not much landscape to see.

“Good hotel but !!”

Good hotel nice quiet loctation staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunaetly the one thing that let this hotel down for us was the pool and garden area. Pool not accassible until midday but it was available to all of the neighbourhood which consisted of mainly young people. Not once were we able to relax and use this area as it was always very crowded Very loud music was played accompanied by a very large video screen. We do think if there is a pool and gardens it should be priorty for hotel guests first. Due to this we had to find other areas to go out and relax in e.g. beach which was a short train ride away. This is the only thing that spoils this hotel. If your not requiring a pool then we truly reccommend this hotel. We had heard that this hotel was experncive for meals. We found the breakfast good and very reasonable and we ate in the evening on a few occasions which was also a good standard and reasonably priced.

Getting around
If you want to explore the region around Jerez the trains are very reliable and fairly frequent and not exspensive. The line from Jerez to Cadiz has frequent stops at many small towns and beach areas.
Must see
An interesting place to visit in Jerez is the clock museum. We had no english speaking tour guide that day but they made us very welcome and did their best to explain the various time pieces. The old cathedral and the Alcazar are a must to see. Another interesting place to visit is the small town of El Puerto De Santa Maria 10 minutes on the train from Jerez. The castle and church are well worth a visit.

“Jerez trip”

Lovely boutique type hotel with a pool, near enough to the centre to be able to take 20 min walk. Staff very friendly and helpfull, rooms clean and modern. However, beware of a few pitfalls which we found a bit of a shame: rooms dont have balconies, so dont expect views. no shop in the hotel - however a good hypermarket round the corner. only one PC from which to access the internet - it got a bit busy at times, however there is free wifi if you have your own laptop. Only 18 beds round the pool which only opens at 12:00. Over all very good base from which to explore Jerez and surrounding areas.

centre of town is very vibrant and interesting

“Nice hotel in suburbs of Jerez”

In general this is a good hotel very reasonably priced. Located in a quiet neighbourhood with a few good local restaurants and shops closeby. It takes about 20-25 minutes to walk into town. Breakfast buffet plentiful and cheap (only 6 Euro) Minor gripes were no key for the safe in our room - although that said the whole area gave the imnpression of being safe and secure More annoying was the loud blaring and repetitive music around the pool area although this seems to be an unfortunate trend at Spanish hotels. Don't they seem to understand some people might actually want to relax, read a book, nod off for a few moments etc, etc and not feel as though you are in the middle of a disco However would recommend hotel for those thinking of visiting Jerez

Area recommendations
Stayed in Jerez for 5 days. Small interesting town but seeable in 2 days - good base for visiting other interesting sights such as Arcos, Sanlucar, Chipiona and the Donana National Park

“Edles schickes Hotel”
