Stayed with a family member for a week. We had 2 different rooms and both enjoyed our stay. Hotel is comparatively simple, quiet and right on the beach. It's safe and the staff is friendly. Andres makes great morning coffee + breakfast and helps get taxis and answers questions (in Spanish.)
The garden is kept incredibly neat and tidy. Walking around barefoot is no problem. Lovely experience.
I think there were only 2 units occupied in the 8 unit building. The apartment was spacious and clean and had place for our family of 5 to sleep, hang out, watch movies, and get away from each other. The terrace was gorgeous. The beach isn't fantastic, but the water was warm, the waves just right and the kites all around. it'a a half hour walk from town - walk only on the beach, and a cab ride back. Lovely.
Ultravioleta was absolutely beautiful. The staff were very helpful and friendly and ready to help with any concerns or needs we had. The grounds are very private and secure. It was beyond our expectations and loved that we were away from the crowds at an all-inclusive. The walk to Cabarete is only about 15-20 mins down the beach and we miss the morning walk now that we're no longer there.
Natura is a lovely, beach-front oasis for the mind and body. A perfect place to disconnect, recharge and refocus your eneriges. I loved this hotel. I am a camper at heart, and loved how open this hotel was. And it is in a very peaceful location. I could lie in bed and hear and see the ocean. I spent most of the day relaxing on a lounge chair reading. A car is recommended as it is between two towns, but easy to reach either. This would also be a great place for a small group to go if they like a rustic experience with the night life and beach of Cabarete and Sosua within easy reach.
The hotel was great. The management was excellent. We had a problem with Expedia not getting the info of our reservation to the hotel and the manager took care of it. The room and hotel was clean, in a great location. The breakfast was delicious. Great place to hang out in Cabarete.

Genel comments: This was a great hotel, great kite spot, and beautiful beaches and city.
Hotel: New, clean, and even the cheapest room ("studio") has great ocean view. Nice staff.
Location: 20 mins walk on the beach to Cabarete center; $7 (250 DR$) in 5 mins with taxi.
Food: Hard to find food unless you go to Cabarette. Hotel has Vacabar, which has very nice breakfast, lunch and drinks. Most restaurants serve standard food, about 300-400 DR$. We did not have a chance to try real Dominican food unfortunately.
Kiting: Not for beginners, and I would not recommend to learn how to kite. But there were many, too many, beginners learning and the beach was like a zoo. I am experienced kite and really liked the spot. It is always deep; no shallows
Sort of choppy, but after 0.5 miles there are shallow reefs and it creates really nice, not too large waves (2-3 m); they are a lot of fun to play with.
Cabarete is a small town on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, about 20 minutes from the international airport. The reef at the bay’s entrance, backdrop of low-lying hills, and the prevailing direction of the trade winds combine to make the town a mecca for windsurfers, kite-surfers, and other water sports enthusiasts. Cabarete also has a great beach for sunbathing.
