Good hotel in centre of Ballina

Pros: Central location in Ballina
Cons: Wi-Fi should not be at additional cost !
Location: Centre of Ballina next to shops and riverfront
Good hotel in centre of Ballina next to all facilities and shops. Wi-Fi at additional cost only, which is disappointing.

Hotel/apartments was in a great location, beside the river and close to shops and the RSL Club which was excellent for meals. It had a good café/restaurant where breakfast was available and we enjoyed walking on the nearby riverside path. The reception staff were always pleasant and very helpful when our luggage went astray and delivered it to our room when it arrived.

Pros: Very little, however the café in the building was excellent, quality food at reasonable prices.
Cons: Nearly everything
Location: Good location, close to clubs, excellent walking paths along river. Easy drive to Lenox Head and Byron Bay.
Ist disappointment was a room overlooking a car park and not the river. 2nd disappointment was the wardrobe which struggled to fit 4 hangers. 3rd disappointment was a bed that sagged to the middle. 4th disappointment was the noise level coming from a nearby hotel 5th disappointment was the overall quality given the price paid

Pros: The location was great; close to everything including Main Street shops and a short walk to the water. Lovely cafe downstairs with very helpful staff

Location was perfect.However,upon booking the room it was quoted that room was 'fully' serviced and that bed linen and towels would be replaced daily.Upon returning to our room,in the afternoon!Had discovered that we the room had not been attended to,despite the service room tag hanging on the door for at least 8 hours!!!!!When we queried the after hours number the owner rang us in an angry manner and said the room was not serviced as it was an'extra'.After arguing with him for a number of minutes he told us that he would arrange towels.When the towels were delivered the room attendant rang me and told me that the room was not made up because our Do Not Disturb sign was showing,A COMPLETE contradiction to his bosses earlier comments!!Overall great location staff and management NEVER spoke to us nor greeted us and I would go so far as to say the Licensee was the most rude and arrogant individual we have dealt with in our many travels around the world!!
