Comfortable hotel

Posted 22-Jun-2015
The hotel staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. It was fairly clean, but admittedly I am an OCD freak, so it's extremely difficult to exceed my expectations for cleanliness. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable, but the pillows left a little to be desired. I would definitely go there again, I would just bring my own pillow.

small town and dated hotel

Posted 20-Jun-2015
Pros: It was a place to stop and get out of the car
Cons: Try a little harder on the breakfast
Location: Not much, we settled for a Subway-because nothing else was open or looked worth stopping for-typical small town
nice staff, good sized pool-but it was a little lacking in a few areas. This was a stopoff, because we didn't want to drive anymore, but it is definitely a small town and older hotel. The pool and room were okay, but the AC was pretty noisy and had to work all night to keep the room close to comfortable. The kids adjoining room AC was much better. On a 2-week vacation, this was by far the weakest breakfast we saw, not much to choose from and in the 1/2 hr we scratched around looking for something to eat, no one came to replenish anything-slim pickins. Adequate motel if you need to stop somewhere, but it looks like the same owers also run a Best Western just down the road-maybe that is better?

Smelled terrible and unsafe.

Posted 19-Jun-2015
Room was booked and listed as non smoking. It smelled like an ashtray. Spoke to front desk clerk who advised it was a smoking room some time ago and they are unable to get the smoke smell out. I was concerned because they impose a $200.00 charge if you smoke in the room. Security lock was broken. Maid tried to enter the room without announcing as I was getting dressed. The swing bar was the only thing preventing her entry.

A little far out of town

Posted 24-May-2015
Pros: Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast, and price reduction
Their breakfast is just all-American awful. Highly processed and refined. Coffee like water.

Burns Oregon

Posted 20-Apr-2015
Pros: Price value with ammenities
Cons: Different name; there are 2 Rory and Ryan Inns, and we stopped at the first one, which was not the one we had a reservation for.
Location: Burns Oregon, a quick trip from Boise, is the gateway to the Malheur Wildlife Refuge. We saw the male Sage Grouse do their distintive mating dance!
We visited the Wildlife Refuge and our jumping off point was Burns, Oregon. The young man at the front desk checking us in was very helpful in directing us to some local areas to bird watch. The room and pool/hot tub were both clean and inviting. The price value was excellent. I would definately stay here again.

Your slip is showing

Posted 06-Apr-2015
Pros: Reasonably quiet but the lack of respect for maintaining silence by guests is becoming an alarmingly annoying trend.
Cons: I've stayed in this motel several times over the past 20 years. It's starting to show its age. The complimentary breakfast was disappointing.
Location: Visit the Malheur NWR, the Diamond Craters Geologic area, the French Glen Hotel for breakfast and the entire countryside for scenery.
Housekeeping must have been slipping prior to our arrival. The bathroom floor needed mopping, there was debris on the floor behind the waste basket (under the counter) and the tub enclosure wasn't spotless.

Nice Hotel. Very friendly staff

Posted 06-Apr-2015
Pros: Easy to find. Staff was very polite and helpful. Not your typical continental breakfast........breakfast was very tasty!
Cons: Vending machine was nearly empty of snacks. Had a chocolate craving, but no sweets in the vending machine
Location: Right on main road. Easy access to restaurants, stores etc. Staff recommended Pine Room Restaurant it was delicious! Just as they said it would be
