"Great hotel, close to airport, and metro station"
My short stay was faultless, everything about the hotel was excellent, even though it was during Ramadan. Minor glitch, Crossroads bar had run out of Kirin draught beer, which I had drunk the first two nights, but they had other options, went for an Italian beer, which was very nice, and gave me the first one on the house.
Room was perfect everything as it should be, no disturbances, but room kept spotlessly clean, and all amenities replaced daily as used. Breakfast was excellent with wide range of choices. Taxis available immediately, no waiting, plus the Dubai Healthcare City metro station is just a 5 minute walk away.
I cannot find any fault with the hotel and very much look forward to my next stay, and for sure will recommend to friends.
We were welcome with complimentary drink on arrival,we arrived before the checking time the hotel reception said they will organise our room soon as possible ,we got our room with in 2 hours, friendly staff always with a smile.
Hotel location is opposite Dubai museum metro is walking distance shops all local, lot of food places to eat not far from iconic buildings , would defiantly go there again
We stayed in the Orient Guest house on our 4-day stopover in Dubai on our way home from Australia. We found it an excellent choice , relaxing and very comfortable with a hearty breakfast in the courtyard.
Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. When entering the hotel the first vision is the red-carpeted staircase rising elegantly to the next level. Look to your right and there's a handsome lounge area for resting after your tired flight, or enjoying a reviving tea or coffee or delicious meal. Enter your room and you see a spacious area with quality furnishings arranged with thought for comfort. A spacious bathroom and wardrobe are an unexpected bonus to add to a very comfortable stay. The included buffet breakfast includes a vast range of hot and cold dishes, all delicious, and if you're inclined, you can order an omelette of your choice freshly made. The staff - reception, bell boys, concierge - are all friendly and accommodating to your every wish and prompt in doing anything you ask them to.
Dubai overall was a wonderful experience but staying at the Royal Ascot Hotel made the experience so much more extra-special. If you plan to visit Dubai (and after this first experience we plan to come again) then do stay at the Royal Ascot Hotel.
Upon arriving, bell boy staff were very welcoming and friendly. Staff at desk were not interactive and we perceded to wait without anyone telling us about facility. After receiving our room, we had to ask how to get get to our room with no one to offer bag assistance. Our room was spacious but dusty and the tv wires must of been loose for the tv kept blacking out. Great area for a good stroll around Bur Dubai. The customer service representive was super friendlier and she offered us a apology after discussing our stay. Inshallah it will be better next time.
The main administrative and shopping district, Bur Dubai contains some of Dubai's oldest buildings. Bastakiya is a carefully restored 'heritage quarter' of narrow alleys and courtyard houses cooled by wind-towers. Sheikh Maktoum's House (now a museum) is a fine example of 19th-century Arabian architecture. The nearby Dubai Museum offers a succinct account of the Emirate's history, while the Heritage & Diving Village recreates its maritime past.
