Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities
When I walked into the room, there was a used shaver on the carpet, so I knew right away they had not vacuumed the place. I complained, and they vacuumed I think, and at the same time stole my brush for some reason. My room was very cold apparently because it was an old building, and it faced the wind side of the building. I requested an extra blanket but that never happened. I couldn’t change rooms because I need an accessible bathroom and that was the only room available.
I went there because the building is attached to the convention centre where I was attending a recruitment fair. I have limited mobility , and there was nothing that could help me get from the hotel down long corridor and down along hallway to the exhibit hall The door between the two buildings was not wheelchair accessible so even with all of the stuff I was lugging, and my disability, there was no automatic door so either I had to ask for help or struggle to open the door myself. I mentioned this to the staff at the hotel, and they were very dismissive.
If you are scent sensitive, you’re going to have a very tough time in the lobby. There is an overwhelming smell of deodorizer/perfume.
The fair I was working at ended at 8 PM and the restaurant in the hotel closed soon after that so I had to order delivery. No option for room service. They have a small store where you can buy snacks if you’re willing to pay four dollars for a small bag of chips.
