The hotel was excellent - only issue for us is that even though it was more than 30 degres, the pool was closed because it is only opened in "summer"...this was a bummer for us. But other than that, nothing to complain about for the hotel...it's great. Location is excellent if you are looking for downtown BA - but to enjoy BA as a city, Recoleta or Palermo are more recommended.

Savoy hotel is the best during my trip in South America (Peru, Argentina and Brazil). It is an old building with unimaginable detail decorations. We felt like in an architectural structure.
All rooms are with high ceilings, our room is also very spacious and clean.
Staffs are very helpful, helped us with our trip and taxi.
If you like the comfort and friendliness of home and the luxury of a palace then this is your hotel! Georgous, well lit rooms and careful thoughtful staff, who remember your name and always greet you with a smile. Just what you want when traveling in a foreign country.
We stayed here for 6 nights and loved it! The room was beautiful, the breakfast was excellent. The price/standard ratio was exceptional. The location is really great to get you away from the hustle and noise of the city. Easy walk to the Cemetery. And cabs outside the door all day long. Cabs are very economical and a fast way to get anywhere in the city. We also used public buses (get a SUBE card at a loteria store), but sometimes knowing which bus to choose was a challenge - though all part of the adventure. We loved our time in Buenos Aires, the people were very friendly and helpful and the Melia set the tone...Muchas Gracias!
"Comfortable, Clean, and Excellent Customer Service"
My husband and I were quite pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of our hotel room. Our room was extremely comfortable and the bed and linens were comfortable and clean. The room was cleaned everyday and given fresh towels everyday. The room had plenty of closet space for hanging our clothes. The only downsides were that the room did not have an iron so we could not iron our wrinkly clothes, but they do offer laundry/dry cleaning service if needed. It was a bit expensive to do that though. Also, the air conditioner didn't work that well but we kept the window open for the most part for cool air to come in. However, it would be tough if it was summertime there. Not sure if it was the room air conditioning or overall but I am sure that they would accommodate you if that is the case. The room had a small fridge and hair blow dryer and the cable tv was great because we were able to watch movies in the evening in English since there was Cinemax. The location is excellent as it is only blocks away from the Obelisk, Teatro Colon, and Center city and the San Martin Plaza and Galleria Pacifica, which we were able to get lots of our shopping taken care of. It is also not that far away from the Retiro train station and the subways and many many buses. So transportation is everywhere if you want to get away from taking taxi and saving some money. I was quite impressed with the staff at the hotel. Everyone working there was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful.
Recently returned from a wonderful stay at Urban Suites Recoleta. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, it was also very comfortable and clean. A buffet breakfast was included. The location was perfect for us, within walking distance of restaurants, shops, parks and attractions. Would stay there again!

AWESOME experience overall all , as a Travel Agent I have travel many parts of the world this was my first time in Buenos Aires, if I had to recommend a great hotel with a home feeling Ayres Liberta Recoleta would be that place. It's close to all major Buenos Aires main attraction points , the famouse recoleta cemetary where " EVITA " is buried , the Colon Theater and you must visit Puerto Madero. My first time in Buenos Aires and when I return as I will Ayres Liberad Receta would be my home away from home.
