“Stylish and friendly hotel with excellent breakfast!”

New modern hotel situated within easy walking distance of restaurants and bars in Palermo, a subway station, and the botanical gardens, zoo and a little further away, the parks of Recoletta. Room was stylishly decorated and very comfortable, although slightly on the small side and sound proofing wasn't great, plus it was a little disconcerting for the room door to open directly onto a small courtyard on the ground floor. However, the hotel staff were very friendly and the breakfast was really excellent. Also, other touches such as a free welcome drink and chocolate in your room were nice. Plus there's an excellent bistro for dinner a few doors down the street - La Piazzaros.

Area recommendations
Recoletta - lots of nice parks and upmarked shops. San Telmo - really buzzing street market on Sundays, with lots of guitar players and tango dancers on the streets La Boca - for the brightly coloured houses

“Beautiful boutique experience in Palermo”

We loved this hotel. Our room was quiet, and for some reason always smelled really good! The hotel is in a fantastic location - walking distance to everything in Palermo. One of the best features is the upstairs outdoor deck, perfect to recline in the sun and has WiFi reception. The staff are fantastic - so helpful and will make bookings at restaurants, do airport transfers, etc. They helped arrange our visit to a tango show at Carlos Gardel that was amazing. Breakfat was included and was plentiful and of a high quality. A huge thumbs-up from these two Aussies!

Area recommendations
Palermo Soho - is a little pocket of European style in the heart of Buenos Aires and has everything you could wish for - shopping, eating, drinking. I could happily live there!

“Nice hotel but not so sure about the service and location.”

I mistakenly made a reservation for the wrong nights and after some strong-arming the hotel nicely moved the dates up one day. However, I was given a ground floor room that didn't have a window (the door had a window). It was a very nice room, but everything looked a bit dingy. Also, it sounded like it was right next to all the building equipment because there were machines sounds throughout the night. The breakfast was wonderful. The neighborhood was on the outskirts of the main areas.

Area recommendations
Loved the Palermo Viejo neighborhood. There were plenty of amazing restaurants and lots of unique shops. It was a lot smaller than Palermo, Recoleta, Microcentro, etc. (buildings weren't as tall, fewer high density hotels and housing).
Events and shows
I skipped the tango dinner show and went to La Viruta instead. It was a social dance hall (basement) where they teach you how to dance first then you spend an hour and a half dancing with whoevers asks.
Other
I arranged for spanish tutoring 2 hours daily with Virginia Panetta with Private Buenos Aires Tours. She helped me gain confidence and improve my spanish significantly. She also leads and arranges private tours, so she incorporated history and culture into our conversations, giving me a much better appreciation for what I was seeing. She was also a very nice person to talk with for 2 hours a day, given that I was traveling alone!

“Great boutique hotel in Palermo , BsAs”

“Good hotel”

We stayed at the Vain hotel one night before we returned to Vancouver. It was very nice, had great English speaking staff who were very helpful, and was located in a good area of Palermo. The hotel is very small so all the staff knew exactly who we were. At one point we forgot a baby blanket in the coffee shop -- when I went back to find it the front desk had it nicely folded and labeled with our room number. The little coffee shop inside the hotel was nice and served great breakfasts. Overall a great place -- not cheap -- but worth the price.

“Nice Find In Palermo”

Can't say enough good about this small, boutique hotel located centrally in a great bar/restaurant area. Also very close to the subway line. The staff was very helpful with great recommendations on what to see and do, and providing directions to local spots. Breakfast was phenomenal, order what you want, served with excellent all you can drink coffee. We went on a package deal (airfare/hotel) so the cost was reasonable. Enjoyed ourselves immensely. Make sure you eat at La Cabrera down the road. YUM!

Area recommendations
San Telmo on Sunday is a great antique market/artists market. It seems like the entire city is there! Mucho gusto!

“Comfortable and convenient”

Friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast to start the day, comfortable rooms although like most of the city can be a little noisy at odd hours, ear plugs recommended. Wi fi fine, but the guest internet PC was woeful.

Area recommendations
The hotel is 5 minutes from the Subte and one of the principal bus hubs, both of which are cheap and reliable. The yellow and black taxis are neither of these and you will not be in BA long before you hear the con stories.
Getting around
Taxis are not registered, be very, very wary. Get hotels and restaurants to order you a remis.
