“Good location”

To start we liked the hotel and location. The service and food were excellent and no tripping was involved.

Area recommendations

Microcentre, but be on guard for pick pockets. Most people are very nice.

not all the rooms are renovated and the older rooms could be rented for much less at many nearby hotels.

“Could be back if intended to stay near the commerce.”

The hotel is good, the price is fair, the location is good The breakfast is very simple, but as much as you want.

“Great Location”

Our hotel was at the junction of Florida and Lavelle in the shopping area of Buenos Aires. What was so surprising was the quiet of our room. THe staff was always helpful and we could walk to just about anywhere safely from our location. The breakfast room was clean and staff attentive. Quite a bargain! Delta, BC, Canada

“Very far from 4 star”

This hotel is very far from the 4 stars it promotes itself as on its website. Our room was reasonable in size, and the hotel was convenient enough location in downtown BA (NB. Palermo area would be a far better option), but that is where the positives finish. The room was very old and very worn down. An uncomfortable bed, a window that wouldnt lock, cracks in the walls, stains in the carpet and had a shabby bathroom. The photos on the Grand King Hotel website are quite deceptive compared to the room we stayed in. The hotel foyer was being rennovated when we were there. I would hope the rennovations have continued to all rooms.

“good location”

staff friendly and helpful with reasonable English.Continental breakfast bland but plentiful. Room clean and comfy but noisy elevator close by. Ideal base for accessing main shopping areas in central B.A.Staff will arrange local excursions.

Good low cost restaurants close by. Nearby is the Galerias Pacificos with an extensive range of fast food outlets Be careful of taxis at airport, I was subject to a rip-off scam and dumped late night outside the wrong hotel. And ATMs can be tricky if you have no Spanish.

“OK Hotel -Great Location”

This is a hotel for turists who like to be close to main attractions and do not mind staying in 2-3 star hotels. The location is PEFRFECT - corner of Lavalle and Florida. Every night you can see a free thango show on this corner. You are a walking distance from Casa Rosada, Cathedra etc.Plenty of inexpensive and good places to eat, excellent caffes and shopping. Hotel's staff speak good English and are helpful. The breakfast is acceptable and plenty to eat. If you want a nice room, stay on lower floors like 4 or 5. All rooms are quiet (windows facing back).Staff will store your luggage if you need to leave it behind (like during trip to Iguazu).

Traveller's tip

Arrange trips to Iguazu , Salta, Mendoza, Chile or anywhere in Patagonia when you get to Buenos Aires. You will save a lot of money in comparison to excursions organized from USA.

The hotel was ok, also the food and the service. They should take care of their elevators. Even so I'd recomend it.
