Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a small leak in my room when it rained but it wasn't a big deal. I would stay there again.

Good price

I liked it, elevators a bit old but work. Comfortable beds, and clean room ...must pay for Internet , so that sucks. But great location and nice staff ..

Very central, friendly staff

Posted 08-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, price, friendliness of staff.
Cons: The only recommendation I have is that the furniture is somewhat spartan, a proper chair and desk or simple table would have been nice to have.
Location: Try the Panino café around the corner to the north on Suipacha, really nice food!
The hotel is in an excellent location, close to shops and some of the sights. Transport links directly outside on the main 9 de Julio street. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was cheap but comfortable, I was particularly impressed with the bathroom as the shower was much better than the other business hotel I stayed in for part of the same trip.

Great location, very comfortable

Posted 20-Mar-2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, comfortable.
Cons: None.
Location: In walking distance to many key sites along the Avenida de Mayo and the Ave. 9 de Julio, close to two stops on the BusBuenosAires.
Although there are some negative reviews for this hotel, I'm not sure why. Very pleasant and clean, great location close to the Avenida de Mayo and its attractions and the Obelisk. Breakfast was lovely and filling. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our triple room was perfect for three people.

Gran Hotel Argentino

This hotel was good, starting from the well-dressed staff. Although they hardly understand English, they were really trying their bests. I found the room well cleaned, with the amenities we needed. Breakfast were good. Location was great. Overall, we got our money's worth.

Certainly met our needs

This hotel is basic but is conviently located. Contrary to what others wrote, our room facing the street was quiet due to thick window. The elevators are typical of European ones very small and light weight capacity but not unduly slow. The staff seems to be lacking in any language except Spanish. I feel that a location a couplle of blocks closer to the obelisk would have been a better choice. Say in the 200 block or a higher number. I say this because of the level of grafitti and filth on the sidewalks. But basically Buenos Aires is filthy and grafitti covered everywhere.
