The hotel is close to the 16th street mall (a pedestrian mall). There are buses running all the time that are free on that street. The buses can take you to the capitol or the other end to Union Station (close to Larimer Square). We walked three blocks to the Colorado Symphony on Saturday night and then took the buses to the train to see the Denver Broncos play. The food at the hotel and across the street was very good. There was a local wine store one block from the hotel for local labels and it was very good as well. When we went to the football game, the hotel kept our luggage and then got us a taxi to the airport after the game.

The Hotel Monaco was wonderful. Walkable, even for a person who has trouble walking and uses a cane, to everything we needed to do and some things we did just for fun. We went to the convention center, up and down the 16th street Mall, a comedy club, some many places to eat it was hard to chose, and this was all without having to move our car. The staff remembered our names and even off-handed comments we had made the day before. Gave us directions to the comedy club and the next day asked us if it was a good show. We were not bothered to have the room cleaned when the Do Not Disturb sign was hanging. The hallways were quiet and we never heard the TV or voices from the adjacent rooms. Everything was clean and smelled wonderful. A faint wisp of something, but not heavy like cleansers or perfume. Monaco accepts pets and there was no odor from that but some great away from home 4 legged furry baby hugs. They also provide your room with a gold fish if you ask. When we "complained" that the fish was not speaking to us, they said it was probably because Robert delivered him to our room and that fish didn't like Robert. A thoroughly enjoyable stay for both business and pleasure and I can't envision ever staying at another hotel in downtown Denver/
We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed everything about this hotel. Excellent location, friendly staff who went out of their way to give you great service. Breakfast and edge bar food good value and high quality. Our room had everything you could poodibly need and cleanliness was first class. We travelled from England to see the
Miami Dolphins and the only thing the hotel couldn't deliver was a win against the Denver Broncos!
My daughter and two friends and I stayed one night. The hotel was great and the staff very friendly. We needed more towels and they were delivered within 15 minutes even though the hotel was very busy at that time. Will definitely stay here again
