“Central Location”
Hotel is dated, but location great, staff very friendly and good value for money :-)
“Great location, very friendly/helpful staff.”
The location is very convenient for walking to Castle Hill and the shopping areas. Hotel staff is more friendly and helpful than I've experienced anywhere.
“This is the Place To Stay”
Great location. Room was huge and clean. Friendly and helpful staff who spoke very good English. Hotel only 5 blocks from metro to airport. Hop on hop off stop only 3 blocks away. Opera close too. Lots of places to eat nearby. Would stay here again. Quiet.
“Nice Place”
Starlight Suiten is in a good location, right behind the Gresham Four Seasons, between the Charles Bridge and the basilica. The only downside is there are no good views from the hotel as it is on an inside street. But the upside is a good hotel in a good location at a good price. The rooms, per the hotel name, are all suites. Thus a nice sized bedroom and a nice sized "living" room with couch, chair, desk, and a small microwave and small fridge. TV and phone in both. Bathroom was roomy and recently redone. The Expedia price was very good. I didn't take the breakfast which seemed overpriced at 13 euros ($17). Budapest itself is a lovely city, good for walking, also good trams and metro. Buy a multi-day metro pass (good for both, also bus) as the individual tickets are a pain. Take the tram to the 27 bus up to Gellert Hill. I liked the early 1900s Pest better than the historical Buda side, I enjoyed Margarit Island for a great nature walk to get away from it all, loved walking the multiple bridges across the Danube, I especially liked the core area between Market Hall and Parliament, and enjoyed being able to hop on a tram when I got tired.
“Best hotel for the money”
Very nice clean hotel. It had a private living room separate from the bedroom. This room was nicer than most Hilton hotels I stay at.
“Good Location, large rooms”
Location is great, not on the main street, but only a minute walk to Danube River and about 5 minutes to main shopping and cafe strip. Room was large - seperate lounge and bedroom. The kitchen in the room is very basic, there is a microwave, a sink and a bench. Ask for a room with a balcony - these on the edge of the hotel and have small balconys with only one shared wall. Staff were very helpful. WiFi Internet is not complementary, but it is not too expensive. Wouls stay here again.
“Wow! What a Place!”
The lobby was nice but not a Ritz. However, when we entered the room, it was fantastic, especially when you consider the price. A large 3 room suite including a larger bathroom with full tub. Around the corner is the Four Seasons, nearby is the Intercontinental. What a neighborhood! Great shopping and restaurants nearby. Walk a half block and there you see the Danube (no, it's not blue). Definitely would stay there again- and we plan to.
“quiet, convenient, and comfortable”
The title says it all: almost. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. We loved the spaciousness of the suite, and it was very quiet and restful. The people in Budapest are so friendly, and the city is beautiful. The public transportation is so easy to use and conveniently located to the hotel. Also, try the Tigris restaurant just up the street; you need reservations. The food is excellent!
“Just right!”
We stayed one night at the end of a River Cruse. The location was perfect. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The hotel was just right for getting a good nights sleep, seeing more of Budapest and transitioning to the next part of our vacation. The hotel is not luxurious but it certainly met our expectations.
“Good location/Average Hotel”
You are close to most things you will want to do. While there is nothing wrong with the hotel, there is nothing special about it either.
