We’ve had different experiences, first we had a room on the groundfloor, where were ants, and it was really loud due to the traffic on the street and due to the parking place. When we asked the reception to help, they were extremely professional and friendly, we’ve received a new room on the second floor and we could choose from two different option. The hotel itself is also not so modern, and the breakfast is fine but not so variable.

Hotel is in middle of renovation’s,room we stopped in for a week was ok, and well equipped, pillows weren’t the best for us, the breakfast is a bit hit and miss for the star rating it is. Full marks for the wellness area. The receptionist were very helpful. Also if visiting Budapest centre , a little out of town although transport as usual is spot on, 25 mins too the centre.

Lovely hotel and stay only marred by them wanting €30 for an early check in. The location is in a suburb and infrastructure and transport system seemed a bit piecemeal though that's not the hotels fault. That all said I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to people after a quality hotel away from the tourist trap.

Deluxe Room Review
I've stayed at Rubin before. I stayed this time out of convenience. Highly recommend the deluxe room. Was a lovely spacious size, super clean and tidy. Staff we're all helpful and friendly and the restaurant for breakfast was also a lovely space and range of breakfast.

I asked for a late check out when booking and asked again the day of our departure but they could only give me the room till 12 noon. I had to wait till 4 pm for my husband to return from his meetings. The hotel is in the middle of no where next to a highway.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and a bit worn down
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's a bit worn down in some areas, the wellness area had two out of four saunas not working and the bathroom had some black mold on the tub. But for the price it was great. And the service and people who worked at Rubin was excellent! Everyone spoke english and was helpfull and smiling. We totally fell in love with the bartender Erica, she was just a sweetheart. Breakfast was great. A very impressive selection, with something for everyone. The hotel is situated outside towncenter, but it's only a 15 minutes busride, to the metro and trams going where ever you want to go. Or you can just take a cap 10 minutes and end up in the center. We used the public transport, it was easy. The hotel has a beautifull garden and at night it's totally quiet. Except from the cicadas.

Avoid avoid avoid! Not a 4 star hotel.
OMG dated hotel, red isn’t a nice colour for deco in rooms. Really poor service in reception as chronically understaffed, rooms basic, warning not to open window due to flies outside, no irons, uncomfortable beds and overall the worse ever 4 star hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Check in and out the worst ever. Waited 45 mins. Also deposit given in euro and returned in dollars and despite their mistake and arguing I was wrong! Cleaners were nice and friendly and rooms cleaned really good. Maybe cleaners should run the hotel. Breakfast basic and tasteless! Avoid at all costs. Location is really in the middle of nowhere!

Bathroom has strong smell. Hotel has offices listed as rare diseases department on doors. It's like a clinic. Wanted to use the pool but changed my mind . Weird feeling altogether

The room I got was in the ground floor next to the entrance and was very noisy , I never entered the room as I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep there , the receptionist didn’t seem to care and when I asked to exchange rooms he said none was available. My colleague arrived a few hours later , got a lousy room as well but surprisingly they could give him another room that was perfect .. shame on them !

Old Hotel, but well kept. Clean rooms; comfortable beds; helpful staff, and nice pool. The spa was not very well maintained. Restaurant was good. Breakfast buffet was well worth the add on.

What a bargain!
We knew the hotel was slightly outside the centre, but decided that the difference in price would cover any taxis we might need and leave loads for spending. The breakfast was included and was absolutely outstanding in variety and quality. Free use of the spa was a bonus and there is a bowling alley on site( we didn’t use/ see it.) The desk staff responded immediately when we had requests. The room we had was huge with a lovely wet room.

Rubin Hotel.
Eight day stay.A very good hotel regarding the fitness and spa facilities. 1st class massage from Niki which I would definitely recommend. The menu was great value and had everything on it that I like and reasonably priced. To say it was close to the city was a big exaggeration, one bus ride plus a 30 minute walk. Not what I would call close. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would stay in this hotel again. Many thanks.

Very good hotel! Great value for the money.
Location is not great, but we travelled by car, and every location in the city was close (for example 15min from Vazi street). Parking was 5eur per day, which is not bad. Hotel is nice, but needs renovation. It looks a bit older, everything, outside, inside, rooms... It has all you need in a room, coffee machine, 2 TV-s, bathrooms are fully equipped, and rooms are very big, bigger then in usual hotels (we were in Junior Suite). Breakfast was excellent. And, everything was very clean! I would recommend this hotel. And, if I come again in Budapest, I would first check this hotel for stay.

In general we can't complain. I was a very nice stay and all hotel employees took good care of us, especially at the reception. However it is visible that the Hotel's best days are behind, and a lot of things are just old. Annoying was that the windows are very thin and you can hear everything from outside (street). Definitely to recommend is the massage in the SPA center from Isabella. :)

Cockroaches!!!!!!
Cockroaches in my room! Yeah! At first I just saw one in the bathroom so I killed it and went about my day. Then later that night, I saw two more crawling around the headboard of my bed. Before I could kill em, they scurried under the bed! Needless to say I had quite the restless night. I mean, I knew they weren't actually crawling on me, but every tickle or touch of the sheet sent a shiver down my spine (you know what I mean!). The hotel moved me to another room, which ended up being without issue, however... if there are cockroaches in one room.. you can bet it's probably not just there! The entire hotel looks like it's very old and aged, so I'm not surprised.

EXTREMELY HELPFUL KIND staff. People were very nice and that was highly helpful. Unfortunately the center is off the beaten path. There is a bus stop near the hotel. The rooms are quite spacious. The bathroom is great with an over head and hand held shower. The beds are adequate. The room rate is good and there is a bar and restaurant. If you don't mind being off of the tourist path then this may be a good place to stay.
