“Central location & value for money”

Dated/old look and amenities and not the modern style of many European Radisson hotels but value for money in a good location in Budapest.

“No airconditioning!!”

We got this hotel because it claimed to have an airconditioner, gym, etc. The airconditioner didn't work AT ALL, we were told to open our window for ventilation which was directly facing one of the busiest roads in Budapest. The gym consisted of one bicycle and one arm bicycle, that is it. The pool was sufficient.

Area recommendations

I'd recommend the area where the Sofitel, Intercondinental and Radisson are located. Its right on the river. We found ourselves walking past them daily to go to the majority of sites to include the bathhouses, bridges, etc. May only be inconvenient for shopping.

“Very good hotel, very good value, nice, accommodating staff”

I came to Budapest over the New Year's holidays, arrived New Year's eve for a relatively easy check in. The reception was nice, and polite, and offered suggestions for the New Year's festivities. The lobby was nice, and clean, has comfortable sofa's and love seats as well as a nice bar/cafe area. I reserved 2 twins, and my bed was comfortable enough, but maybe not quite as good as some other hotels of similar ratings. Everything in the room worked, it was small, but cozy and had a nice clean bathroom with a great shower head. They provided quality toiletries as well. The hotel is in a nice area of Pest, It's about a 15-20 min walk to the touristy street Vaci Utca,. However, one can find good shopping, cafe's, bars and restaurants in the same area as the hotel.

Area recommendations

I would recommend Pest as far as going to restaurants, bars, cafe's as it's less expensive than the Buda side. I spent most of my time in district 5 and 6, where the major streets "Vaci Utca" and "Andrassy Ut" are located. These two districts have the majority of the shopping, drinking, and site seeing. However, each district has something to be seen. Visit each one if you have the time.

“Great Hotel”

Great hotel and a great location. Easy access to downtown area. Hotel staff was very helpful and accomodating. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Great price for this location and hotel. Will definitely recommend this place and stay again on our return.

Area recommendations

Heroes square, Castle district, etc. Take the Hop on/Hop off tour bus. You can get tickets at the Blu Beke hotel. The tour will take you around the city to all of the popular areas. You can spend as much time as you like at each location and cathc the next bus.

“could improve here and there but not bad for the price”

front desk staff was friendly and helpful and able to answer my questions. decor of room really need renovation (with the exception of the bathroom which was sparkling). matress was visibly lumpy but surprisingly comfortable. pool area was small and not particularly inviting but the sauna was nice. restaurant prices seemed a bit high but there were plenty of places close by to eat.

“Pretty Decent Hotel”

Excellent location and a good standard of hotel. We paid a little extra on arrival to up grade to a room on the front of the hotel, the room was fine, spacious and everything you would need. Unfortunatley every time we used the kettle the lights in the room would go off. We had 2 electricians in 2 days, neither of which fixed the proboem but after we visited reception again about the problem we were upgraded again to a suite in the hotel. All in all, a pretty decent hotel with just a couple of minor issues such as coffee and sugar not replaced after we had used etc.

Area recommendations

All areas, and they are very easy to access via trams and the underground. Buy a book of 10 tickets, they are good for both modes of transport

“"Mixed Feeligs"”

The room was very nice and comfortable and the location was good. But the staff and the hotel in general seemed to be geared towards getting you to spend more money rather than provide the best service for the money that was paid for the stay. Every one seemed to be looking for a tip. and showed their dissapontment if the did not get it.

“Good hotel for the price”

The Radisson Beke was in a great location for walking to all of Budapest's sights. The hotel was very nice. We did request a non-smoking room and even though the room was labeled as non-smoking, it had clearly been a smoking room once upon a time. That aside, we would definitely stay at the Radisson again.

We recommend the City Segway Tour! The tour was great and we got to see a lot of the city in just a few hours. Our guide, Agnes, knew a lot of history and information about the various sights.

“Comfortable, no-fuss hotel”

The Radisson SAS Beke Hotel in Budapest is a comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It's 15-20 minute walk from the main tourist area (Fashion street, Chain bridge, etc) but there are nice little cafes and restaurants nearby.
