Beautiful hotel an friendly staff
This is a lovely hotel beside the Heroes park an museums, such a shame it is closing as its a lovely building and the front desk staff are really helpful an friendly.

The hotel is in a amazing location close to a really nice resturant called paprika . The staff were excellent and would do anything to help you. Out room was amazing and me and my boyfriend loved the stay will be going back .

Well refurbished hotel in great location
Very nicely refurbished small hotel with nice design. Right beside hero square with great public transportation connectivity to everywhere. They could spend a bit more attention to details so the hotel stays in this condition for long ( like cleaness of carpet, tiles and between in bathroom)

Nice boutique hotel with a cosy style
We stayed at the hotel for one night. The hotel is renovated from an old building with elegant style. The inside is very modern and clean. There is even a lift installed. Room is clean and comfortable with all the needed amenities (except slipper). Breakfast is good with enough choices. Location is right opposite to Hero Square and close to metro station. There are not many restaurants close by the hotel. The restaurant at the hotel does not serve lunch or dinner.

A superb hotel in a great area in Budapest
It is a wonderful hotel. IN the middle of everything. The metro station is 1 minute away. not to mention a great area. Service in the hotel is brilliant. They are all trying to be as helpful as possible. A gem, really :))) the only minus I can think of is that there is no music channel in the room. Nor BBC World :)))

Great location right next to City Park and a tube stop. Lovely hotel with large rooms. Great wi-fi reception everywhere. Friendly staff, even happy to serve drinks at 4am!

4 star - really?
Room was very old fashioned in style, but not in a good way. The furniture, carpet and so on were worn out with permanent stains and marks on them. Room had a funny damp smell, which bit into my clothes and hair. Thick layer of dust on the headboard.

Budapest Mirage Hotel
Hotel was excellent and staff was very helpful. I was disappointed upon arrival as the type of room reserved was not available, but the hotel compensated this issue by providing complimentary breakfast during our 2-night stay (not included in reservation).

Solo traveller delight.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. it was conveniently located in Hero Square. bathroom looks great I love the towel warmer. and my bed was very comfortable. You can walk around to check the sites, the famous first Cat Cafe is very close by. The bank is four blocks away but there is an ATM right in front if the hotel. if you arrive late at night and have luggage you don't want to carry up the front steps you can go in the back through the gate and there is an elevator. Attila and Barbera were very nice at the front desk reception; they went above and beyond. Breakfast was great with wide selection even champagne. Make sure to check out miniversum (miniature world) if you are close by. be advised the rooftop terrace can only be accessed by those suites located on those top floors.

Still learning about service
A good looking hotel recently refurbished in a convenient location next to Heroes Square. The problems are not with the room quality or the facilities but with the managements obvious skimping on staff numbers. Our room was not made up when we came back at 5pm after a days work. The breakfast room only had one young girl trying to refresh the food and cope with a non-functioning coffee machine. Simple to correct and to justify its rating.

Only stayed one night, but was very happy with all aspects. I drove and arrived very late. Evening staff was helpful with parking and getting me in my room quickly.

Size of rooms
The staff were polite, helpful and hardworking & the breakfast was good.We booked 2 superior rooms. One was superior, the other was not as it was less than half the size & the shower had a sloping room that we had to be acareful not to bump our heads on. The booking site had wrong info about the rooms as both were described as 21 sq meters - the small one was about 4 metres wide. So that rather influenced us. Info on site needs to be accurate. I thought a small refund would be given when we raised this but have not so far had a positive response to that request.

Small, stylish, boutique hotel
Stayed here for four nights. The hotel is situated near Hero's Square. It is quite a good walk to the centre but public transport (the metro) stops near the hotel but if you take a taxi the rates are reasonable. The hotel was lovely and the staff very helpful. We ate a couple of times at the Mirage Cafe and what we had was very enjoyable. There are so many things to see around the hotel eg The Thermal Baths, Boating lake in the beautiful garden facing the hotel. There is a Zoo and Circus inside the gardens. Also there are outdoor pools at the Thermal Baths - ideal for sun worshippers. At the baths are Spas where all kinds of treatments can be taken - facials. Massage, reflexology and many many more. We took the Hop On Hop Off bus which stops outside the hotel and that was good value. We also booked a tour called Taste of Hungry which lasted for 4 hours and we learned so much. The city centre is beautiful, lots to see and it is very clean.

Fab time at the Mirage
We had 3 lovely nights at the mirage, nothing was too much trouble for their super friendly staff and I am looking forward to going back soon. The location was great, close to the spa and park and near the subway which is so easy to navigate.

Lovely hotel - great value in Europe
Room decor was pleasant. Comfortable bed and nice linens. Spacious bathroom and great shower. Staff were pleasant and very helpful with sightseeing plans. Hotel is across street from Heroes Square and a couple of museums and metro is very close.

Nice hotel.
We were there on a very cold weekend in January. The hotel was close to Szechenyi Furdo, which is why we chose it. It is also close to Hero's Square and the metro station. Since it was so cold, we didn't walk in the park or visit the zoo. If we would have visited in the summer, we would have done those things. The only problem was that there are only a few restaurants in the area which close by 10 pm, so if you leave Szechenyi Baths at 9:30, there is no place to get dinner.

What a fabulous hotel, the staff were super nice, really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, polite and helpful. Room was brilliant, great shower, comfortable bed, room cleaned daily, wonderful coffee machine. Great breakfast, good choice of food and beverages, constantly replenished by very attentive staff. Awesome location, opposite Heroes square, close to the Zoo, Ice rink, and Széchenyi Thermal Bath and Spa. Great transport system, with Metro line within 50 m, trams and buses right outside hotel. Unforgettable stay, many thanks to the wonderful staff.

Hotel and staff were fantastic. Rooms are amazing specially for the good price. There is a city tourist tax that you should account for and transport to-from airport is 9€ each way but very worth it. Walking distance from Subway M1. Heros Square, Gundel, Museums, Castle Park and Bath in Pest side. Easy access to Buda side via M1 metro then bus 16, market Tram 2 after a short walk from last station M1, Opera, Gerbaud, Onyx and all restaurants you want to go to are along M1.

Nice, hotel, still fresh from renovation, very good proximity to Hero's square and metro. The only real downside was that our room on 3rd floor was already under roof and as result the place in shower was bit limited. Otherwise great place to stay.

The hotel is in good location as the road passing by has little traffic at night. There is a 2.6 km walk to the city center but metro and bus stop are realy close by. There is a popular park and square across the road. I stayed in one of the smaller rooms on the same floor as the reception, the room was fine but the door to the hallway/reception area is not sound proof at all, you could here a pen drop in the reception area so i did not get much sleep the first night, the following nights i left the ventilator in the bathroom running and thus surpressing all sounds from the reception/ lobby. The room was nice and cleen.

This hotel was a real find and very good value considering te standard of rooms, bathroom facilities etc. Staff were extremely professional and helpful. We were able to book attractions directly through the hotel which was really helpful. Very high standard of decor. Very near to lots of attractions and easy travel into the centre.

Fantastic Stay
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a fantastic stay. Brilliant view overlooking heroes square. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Rooms were large and very clean with toiletries replaced as often as you needed them to be. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

Great hotel for exploring the city.
Well situated for exploring the city, the hotel looks out onto the side of a museum on hero square. It is just 2 minutes from the metro that takes you to the centre in 5 minutes. The hotel itself is just a year old with helpful staff that are prepared to listen to your feedback with a view to improve the service. The hotel is bright and well lit and equiped. There were minor things identified and pointed out which the reception manager welcomed the feedback with a view to improve.

Late night arrival, no problem. Room was small by North American standards but more than comfortable. Biggest plus was the staff, especially Regina and Barbara ont he frotn desk. Very helpful and informative. Did not use the restuarant breakfast buffet as 15 euro was a bit pricey. Location is excellent, right next to a bus stop and metro line. Fantastic view of Heros square and close to the park. Area is very safe and has some nice restuarnats and attractions (including the baths)

Fantastic, would highly recommend, staff all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was of a high standard and great choice and variety. The building inside and out was stunning. Very tastefully decorated, beautiful high ceilings in our room and very spacious. The location of the building was just right, opposite heroes square so had beautiful from our window plus 5mins walk to the park and the amazing castle thats situated inside next to a lake.

Great find
This was a great find. It's a beautiful old building that has been done up to a high standard with nice modern rooms. The staff were helpful and all speak English well. The location is a bit out of the centre by Heroes Sq, which is very nice but there aren't a lot of restaurants in the area. It's 100m from a metro stop though, so it's very easy (approx. 10 min) to get into the centre for food/nightlife.

Although it's far away from the center, the tram station is a2 min walk away and to get to the center takes 5 mins. the Heroes square outside the hotel is beautiful and there are few thing to see over there and also there's two museums. the Paprika restaurant is also nearby and i recomend it. Two things bothered us: Breakfast costs 30 EUR - we didn't try it and the Wi-Fi connections gets disconnected very often.

Over all a lovely place to stay
The hotel staff are all very friendly from the moment you walk in they are more than happy to help with any of your problems or questions. The rooms Are beautiful and the view from 305 was great. As you could see hero square. And a. Small Christmas market. The hotel is also in a good location. And easy to get to the center of Budapest. The only reason I gave the comfort of the room a four was that the bed was to hard for me. Other wise everything else was superb.

The location was rather far away from restaurants. The taxi's booked through the hotel are rather expensive. Apart from that it is a very good place to stay in Budapest.
