“Overall, very pleased”

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with superb English. Even the cleaners were chatty. Room was rather small, and had we been there for longer we would've asked for a change. Very central. Literally about 5 mins walk from Vaci Utca (main strip).

“Would definitely go back”

I was on the top floor with one of only 18 balconies in around 400 rooms - luck of the draw, apparently. Walls appeared to be made of actual brick as opposed to usual hotel glorified cardboard, so another big plus and no noise whatsoever. Air conditioning good. Justified four-star rating. All reception staff were fine bar one, who gave every impression of wishing he had any other job. The mtero is literally bang outside the hotel. Kalvin Square is a bit noisy while they're renovating it, but the room soundproofing is absolutely fine.

“watch out for those bikes!”

This hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Vaci Utca and the danube. We had room only, but the light breakfast in the bar for under a fiver was good value. We walked to all the main places of interest from here so it is pretty handy. pool is quite small, but the staff are friendly and always available. I did have to persist in my efforts to get non-allergenic pillows, but they arrived eventually.

“Really nice hotel”

I was impressed with this hotel, especially with how little it cost. We stayed for two nights; the hotel staff were really friendly and could not help you enough. They looked after our luggage after check-out and pre-ordered us a taxi to the airport without the need of asking. The room was really nice, modern and clean. Good location too.

“Impressive hotel”

Really enjoyed our stay here. A lovely hotel, great service and english speaking staff. Its in a great location. 5 mins walk from the market hall and 15 mins walk from the Gellert Spa Baths and also Central Pest's main streets. Its also right on the metro line too which came in handy for reaching different areas of the city

5 mins from Central Market, and one end of Vaci Utca. Easy walk into central Pest for boat trips, shops, etc.

“Brief but good stay”

The hotel is well located. It is across the street from the National Museum. It is on a tram line and only a couple of blocks from the subway. It's a pleasant walk to Vaci Utca. The personnel were pleasant and helpful. The fact that I am (embarrassingly) limited to the English language posed no problem. The room was clean & fresh. There were no unpleasant surprises. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay in Budapest.

“Great HQ for a visit to Budapest”

Excellent location by metro, the market place, major shopping street and good access to Buda across the river. I'd definitely go back this hotel. Friendly, helpful front desk and business office staff. Minor problems: confusion over whether relatively expensive buffet breakfast was, or was not, included with room. Although my room was on the non-smoking floor, in the hall way there was smoke. If you're very allergic to cigarette smoke it's hard to find air space totally free of smoke any place in Europe!
