“Well worth a visit take a week”
Well worth a visit take a week
“Amazing”
The staff was extremely professional, friendly and helpful. Both bar food and buffet breakfast were well prepared, tasty and filling. They helped us with recommendations and reservations for restaurants and thermal baths. Good convenient location.
“Great place to stay”
The hotel was lovely, very clean and pleasantly decorated. It is in an excellent location on one of Budapest's busiest tourist streets. The staff were very helfpful and efficient. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.
“Great hotel in centre of Budapest”
Great location and very friendly, helpful staff. Room was absolutely fine. Would definitely stay here again!
“Great staff and good location”
This hotel was very convenient for walking to all attractions including the Opera house( we managed this in 15/20 minutes even in high heels in the evening)Castle Hill, main spabaths etc.The staff were really lovely, had some fun chat with one of the receptionists and one of the porters could not have been more helpful when one of our group discovered her purse was missing just as we were being collected by the airport taxi/bus(which by the way was a easy way of getting to and from the airport). All in all a good experience not luxury but great for weekend stay for easy shopping and sightseeing
“Great location, good quality!”
Friendly service, great location, good value for money, even the breakfast buffet was exceeding my expectations. However, if you pay for anything at the bar downstairs do pay in local currency Forint, as they are overcharging in Euros (i.e bad exchange rate) - same if you get a taxi back to the airport.
“Fantastic 4 Night Break”
Hotel fantastic for easy access to all sights.
“Mercure City Centre Hotel”
Perfect location for shopping, eating out and seeing the sights. The hotel staff are very friendly and extremely helpfull. You can find cheaper hotels but you wont find any better than this! When we go back to Budapest, we will definately stay at this hotel again.
“quality”
Very Good. Helpfull saff.
“Great, comfortable base for exploring centre”
We stayed 4 nights over new year, and were very pleased with the hotel. The room was basic, but had everything we wanted and was reasonably roomy. The bar and reception were very well presented, and there was free internet access (no free printers) in the lobby. Didn't try the food at the hotel at all, so don't know about prices or quality. Contrary to previous reviews, we found the staff to be friendly and helpful - perhaps they've read their feedback! Best thing about the hotel is the location, right in the middle of one of the main pedestrian shopping streets, and a one minute walk from Vorosmarty Square, where they had markets and stalls over Christmas and New Year. 5 minutes walk from the metro and about the same to the nearest bridge over to the Buda side.
