Superb Hotel

Posted 19-Nov-2014
I stayed at the Kempinski Hotel between the 14th - 17th of November and I can highly recommend it. The Hotel is ideally located for sightseeing and shopping and all the staff are simply outstanding in assisting with any requests you might have. I did not dine in the Hotel I chose to eat out,(I always do) however, it does receive glowing reports of the standard of food at the Hotel. Our room was rated 'Superior' and it was spacious, luxurious and Bed was very comfortable! A pre-dinner drink in the Blue Fox Lounge Bar was a pleasant ritual and, the view through the windows into the park, opposite, where the giant Ferris Wheel revolved added to the experience. I've never met Staff so pleasant in any Hotel I've stayed at before, absolute full marks to them all!!

Budapest Gem

Posted 18-Nov-2014
Pros: Location and luxury.
Cons: More english speaking TV channels. When we fancied a late evening film to relax after a hard days sightseeing we had to buy from the film store.
Location: Possibly the best location for getting around and sightseeing.
Great hotel in brilliant location for all the sights in Pest and easy enough to get to Buda. Staff extremely good (we needed a doctor during our stay and the concierge could not have been more helpful). Great rooms and lovely breakfast.

Foot and gym

The morning buffet food was not good and very expensive. The gym was opened too late in the morning.

Fantastic hotel. Central location.

Posted 04-Nov-2014
Pros: The most important thing about the hotel was the cleanliness and the welcoming atmosphere whenever you arrive after your flight.
Cons: Would not change anything.
Location: 20 yards from the big bus tour stop, 200 yards from the Danube with the chain bridge close bye and the fashion district one street away.
Fantastic hotel. Excellent central location. All staff very pleasant and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble to the staff. Rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food which was served was to a very high standard within th ES restaurant.

Upscale and close to everything

Posted 04-Nov-2014
Pros: Everything
This hotel was big, beautiful and classy. It was blocks away from the river, the main shopping street and many places to eat. Transit stops were within blocks in either direction. Our room was large and welll appointed. It was very comfartable and clean. It was very quiet. The indoor pool was a nice plus after a day of walking. After dinner we hung out in the beautiful big lobby complete with lots of tables, comfy chairs and comfy couches. It was was so nice to sit by the fireplace. We had a problem with our safe (caused by us) and after caliing the front desk, help arrived within 2-3 minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel. Most modern in Budapest. Best location close to metro and tourist venues. Bed too firm for me and they use 2 single beds and duvets make a queen.

City centre luxury

Posted 02-Nov-2014
Pros: The facilities were excellent but equally importantly the staff were not only efficient but friendly too.
Cons: We did have cocktails in the Blue Fox one evening and they were unfortunately disappointing and not consistent with the same drink elsewhere.
The Kempinski Hotel Corvinus was an ideal base for a short break in Budapest; a very comfortable place to return to after a day's exploration of either Buda or Pest.
