“Great hotel, not so great location”

Hotel Pest was a very clean hotel with good breakfast every morning. They had very friendly staff when I was there the first week of November. There is also a parking garage around the corner from the hotel which is convenient. The surrounding areas were pretty dead and construction going on. There were a lot of bums sleeping outside nearby. We found a really good pizza place called Queen Pub that was a 5 minute walk from the hotel and that is it. To go to bars we had to walk a good 15 minutes. If you do not mind walking then this is a nice hotel. If not, then I would recommend a hotel closer to the bridges so you are closer to everything.

“Very nice Hotel”

Very nice hotel with character. Good location, very close to the opera. Walkable distance from everything. Staff very happy to help. The rooms are big and clean. The breakfast is served in the morning in the covered yard. Free wifi and access to computer.

“Exceptionally good hotel”

We've just returned from a brief visit to Budapest and after reading other reviews decided to book Hotel Pest. It's in a great location, just around the corner from the Opera House and a few minutes walk from numerous bars and restaurants. Centrally placed we only once had to take a tram. The rooms were spacious, beautifully clean and very comfortable, with all that you need. Not impressive from the outside but once you walk through the doors there was no doubt that a good choice had been made. Good breakfast to set you up for the day. Staff couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. We'd definitely return here.

“Nice hotel in a good location”

This is a very nice hotel overall. The reception staff are nice and helpful, and the location is excellent, right near the opera. The room is spacious and the courtyard is lovely. The only real downside was the beds, they are not comfortable. The pillows are minimal and the sheets barely fit the beds. The breakfast is also just okay. It is not inspired and the coffee is not hot enough. With a few touches this could be an outstanding hotel. The bar is compeltely diresgarded, needs a tv, music, or something.

“Most pleasant Budapest downtown hotel”

Hotel Pest was very pleasant. Excellent downtown location, yet quiet and peaceful. A small hotel with style.

“Wonderful hotel in Budapest”

Great hotel in a wonderful, quiet location. Very close to the metro and nice restaurants. Breakfast buffet terrific. Air conditioning in room worked well. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Budapest.

“excellent hotel”

Hotel centrally located in Pest, about 200 yards from the Opera House just off Andrassy Utca, one of Pest's main thoroughfares. The room was huge, en suite facilities excellent, no bath (unfortunately) but luxurious shower. Very simple decor, but very comfortable. The room looked over an internal courtyard with ivy falling from the balconies, very quiet. The continental breakfast (included in the price) was fine. The dining room is a glass-covered courtyard - superb. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No problems with the hotel at all - would recommend without hesitation.

hôtel de grande qualité proche de nombreux sites touristiques dans le centre de la ville et de l'avenue Andrassy. métro à 150 mètres. personnel très compétent et serviable. hôtel et chambres très calmes. petit déjeuner à améliorer, fruits en non adéquation avec les fruits de saison présents dans les commerces. malgré cela la qualité de l’hôtel fait oublier ce petit désagrément. je recommande cet hôtel.

“Zentrale aber ruhig gelegenes Hotel”

Das Hotel liegt nahe der Oper, jedoch in einer Seitenstraße. Somit hat man ein ruhiges Hotel, von welchem man Budapest gut auch zu Fuß erkunden kann. Der Service war sehr gut. Das Personal spricht zum Teil sehr gut deutsch und war auch sehr hilfsbereit. Insgesamt ein ideales Hotel für eine Städtetour.
