“Beautiful boutique hotel”
Attended Conference at Hungexpo a bit out of town. 15min walk to Astoria metro station then short train ride to Conference Centre. Beautiful boutique hotel in an old palace that served as flats during the Communist era. Refurbished as a hotel and now open for 3-4 years. Young friendly reception staff. Fabulous bedroom with walk-in dressing room / wardrobe area as well as sitting area: more a suite than a room. Breakfast good with usual cooked bits plus nice bread / Viennoiserie. Would be delighted to stay there again if I am ever back in Budapest.
“budapest”
Had an absolutely fabulous weekend in Budapest, the Palazzo Zichy hotel was first class. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast selection was lovely. Cant fault the hotel. One word of advice, ask hotel to arrange taxis etc usually better value. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, go and ENJOY. Will definately return, cant wait!
“A very good place to stay in Budapest”

“Awesome Hotel in a Convenient, Quiet Location”
Excellent modern "European" type hotel in the Jozsefvaros neighborhood of Pest. It's a few blocks in from the river and the heart of the tourist section of town, but the Hotel Palazzo Zichy is located in an area known for restaurants and nightclubs that appeal to locals, too. Yet, even though it close to the action, the immediate area around the hotel is quiet. The interiors are beautiful. The rooms are comfortable. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Excellent hotel is every way.
“Superb hotel”
Quite simply, this hotel was amazing. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was fantastic and breakfast was the best spread I've seen! The hotel is also conveniently located for exploring Budapest. Definitely going back.
“Surprisingly good, modern hotel”
Was pleasantly surprised at the Zichy. Renovation of the interior of an old building was done well. Location was great for me, price is right, service was helpful and attitude free, and plenty of services/transportation nearby. Assuming the price stays in control, I would happily stay here again.
“great hotel”
We enjoyed our stay and had an wonderful buffet breakfast as well. Very reasonable price as well.
“Like sleeping on the floor”
Great amenities . Good location. Wonderful front desk people. ONLY drawback to this super hotel was the extra, extra, extra firm mattress. About the comfort level of sleeping on the floor with a sleeping bag. They have a bountiful breakfast and a lounge area open all day with free water tea or coffee.
“What a find!”
Making use of the "My Concierge' service for this hotel helped us to realise how committed the staff were to helping us with our stay - booking transfers from the airport, providing us with weather forecasts etc! Once there, we were impressed with all we saw - the building itself, our room, the breakfasts, and the quiet but nearly central position of the hotel. Our greatest thanks go to all the staff - from the cleaners to the receptionists, who had ready smiles all hours of the day and night - no matter how long they had been working! We will definitely go back - both Budapest and this hotel were delights!
“Very nice”
Very nice hotel, with a couple of minor issues: mattress was rather soft for my back and bath door did not have a lock (annoying feature, IMHO).
