“Good centrally located hotel”
Very good location. Plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Main shopping district less than 5 minutes walk away. A few meters away from nearest metro station and bus stops, trams nearby also. Hotel lobby area very nice. Rooms clean except for a couple of little stains on the carpets. Staff helpfull and polite.
“OK for the money”
It is in a good location and was perfecly OK by my standards.
“a moldy but a goody”
To start off, there was mold in our shower. My companion traveller and I were getting sick by the time we left after 3 nights there. The staff is friendly and helpful, you DO have to pay a lot for the use of the internet, so try stopping at the drink bar at the corner to use the free wifi instead, but it was overall in a great location for the city and there was a 24 hr grocery store on the next block.
“It's so-so”
Even though the location is satisfactory,it's restaurant left much to desire. There are hardly anybody there during lunch & dinner and the breakfast menu was the same during all the three days.
“Good hotel for price”
Can't say too much as I broke a bone in my foot on the way to Hotel so spent much of my one night there hobbling about. Nice breakfast, staff helpful and room clean.
“Excellent location”
We stayed at the Erzsebet Hotel City Center beginning of April for a mid week break, the choice of hotel was as a result of previous reviews and its' location. We were not disappointed in any way, the location is excellent for sight seeing around the whole of the city, with transport links very nearby, ie underground and trams - 100 mtrs. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, well kept and inviting, the staff were all friendly and considerate, answering any questions we had, English was not a problem. We took breakfast at the hotel purely for conveniance at Eur6 pppn, it was a classic continental style with a good choice plus a hot buffet which, apart from the scrambled egg we didn't bother with as it wasn't to our taste but many other guests were tucking into it. There are cafes' nearby where breakfast could be bought as an option. The rooms were comfortable and well furnished the bed very comfortable and bathroom facilities well looked after, there is a mini bar and tv but no tea/coffee making facility in the room, all very adequate for the trip, and would have no hesitation at using the hotel again in the future. Certainly value for money for the sightseer.
“Very Handy Location”
This hotel was a great budget option very handy to everything. Our room was clean and well maintained. The hotel service was very polite. Lots of bars and dining all around. Public Transport only a few hundred metres up the road. We would definitely stay here again.
“veery good”
Interesting place to stay, generous and good quality breakfast and evening meal
“Erzsebet Hotel City Center - great hotel in great location”
Hotel rooms are a little on the small side and if you've stayed at Travelinns and Travelodges you'll be right at home. Very clean room, powerful shower, tv. opening windows. Friendly staff, good English. Make sure you use the free safety deposit boxes for your passports etc. Rooms can get stuffy, even with the window open, unless you turn on the air-conditioner! This was very quiet and made the other nights very pleasant. No tea-making facilities which was a shame. Great location, 5 mins walk from good bars and restaurants, but also peaceful at night. There were 7 of us in four rooms and no single person supplement for the odd man out! Word of caution using the underground. We bought tickets but because we didn't validate them correctly we got stung by "controllers" to the tune of 6000 florints (£30) EACH! Needless to say we took cabs back to the airport, arranged by the hotel. One friend is already planning a return visit to this hotel, with his girlfriend. We would definitely recommend the hotel as a clean budget place near shops, bars and restaurants. The big yellow hotel sign also helps navigate drunken, but well behaved, Englishmen safely home!
“Excellent value for money”
Excellent central location, staff very friendly and helpful, room quiet although quite small, towels changed daily
