“Lovely Small Hotel”

Hotel very clean and welcoming. Staff extremeley friendly and helpful with very good English. Hotel less than a minute from the Danube. Would have been nice to have Tea and Coffee facilities in the room however complimentary Tea and Coffee were available at the bar 24/7. Will definitely go back.

“very good hotel just a short walk to the centre of budapest”

very good service friendly staff situated just one street awat from the river the hotel is on the buda side of the river but is close to one of the bridges so very convenient to go across to the pest side i would stay at the hotel again and recommend it to others very reasonably priced place to stay

i would recommend to go on a bus tour and then go to the citadel as the views are amazing the castle is also a good place to see they are both on the buda side of the river over the river in pest is the shopping area also i would highly recommend a trip to hero square

“Budapests best hotel”

Both my friends and I had a lovely time in Budupest. We loved the hotel and the hotel service was perfect. The hotel was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was fantastic, well cooked and presented. You could have what ever you wanted and it was cooked fresh within a couple of mins. One of my friends became ill with a very bad migraine for the last couple of days and the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was any trouble for them even calling the doctor out for us. We are all planning to go back there and will tell our friends to stay at the hotel.

“Would recommend”

This hotel has friendly and helpful staff, good standard of cleanliness and provides a good breakfast (cereal, cold meats, cheese, eggs cooked to order, toast, drinks). The location is ideal for the Budda tourist attractions and also close to the river to get to the Pest side. On the negative side our room was quite small especially the bathroom, and although the hotel has a sauna and exercise room, these were not easily accessible as the sauna has to be booked in advance and is not available after 7pm.

Pest side near river as the majority of the attractions are on the Pest side.

“Deal in Buda”

The staff was very accomodating, the breakfast plentiful if simple. The room itself was nothing special, but we hadn't gone to spend our vacation in the hotel. It was only 10 minutes to chain bridge or Fisherman's Bastion and less than that to Margaret's bridge, making it really easy to get around.

Area recommendations
We liked where we were, in Buda next to the Danube. However if we were to return, we'd stay on the Pest side. It has a bit more in the way of restaurants and night life.
Must see
Fisherman's Bastion and the Faust Wine Cellar next to it are must-sees in Buda. The baths are wonderful too, but unless you speak Hungarian DO NOT GO to the Gellert Baths. They were rude, unhelpful and price-gouged.

“Great Budget Hotel”

I can find no reason to fault this hotel, when you consider the very reasonable room rates. Pleasant, helpful staff and a quiet location less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. Breakfast is good for a budget hotel and the whole place is very clean and generally well maintained. One note of caution, if the weather is bad (as it was on only one of my 5 days), get a taxi into town for around £3 (GBP) as the short walk over the Erzsebet bridge is wonderful on a nice day but a bit unpleasant in the wind and rain.

“Excellent hotel for the price”

The hotel is small and friendly. We were given a smoking room on the top floor - room 56. Our room and the one next door were the only rooms with a balcony. We looked out on Gellert Hill, Castle Hill and the Taban Church. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was continental plus eggs cooked to order. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated 50 metres from the Danube and the number 41 and 19 trams. Getting about was easy. Hotel advised us to buy a 72 hour travel pass from the metro which is much cheaper than the Budapest card. Excellent stay- would recommend and would stay again.

Area recommendations
Buda has the best views across the city and is quieter than Pest. Pest is good if you are looking for more at night time. Be sure to visit the Market by Liberty bridge.
Getting there
The airport shuttle bus is the easiest way to get to your hotel. It was not expensive.
Getting around
Buy a travel card available at the Metro stations. This can be used on metro, trams and buses. It is very easy to get around the city using this.
Must see
Go up to the castle area on Buda and admire the view across Pest. Gellert hill has an even better view but you will need to take the bus( number 27) to the top. Visit the Market at the end of Vaci Utca by one of the bridges on Pest.
