"Excellent position on Váci Street on pedestrianised areas full of lovely shops/ restaurants & close to various transport facilities. All staff very friendly & spoke good English. Full self service breakfast with huge choice of fresh produce- fruits/ porridge/ yoghurts/ selection of breads/ croissants as well as bacon & eggs. Waiting staff very efficient & nothing was too much trouble. Excellent service throughout our stay. "

"We looked long and hard for a three or four star hotel central for walking to most all the cultural and fine dining venues. We could not have asked for more. The staff was delightful, most helpful, and have no idea how they can instantly understand so many languages. Our king bed was most comfortable, with crisp cotton sheets and duvet, and four pillows - two soft and two firm - so both wife and I happy. Located directly beside the opera house, we easily walked everywhere we wanted. A plus, we got brave - the metro is litetally three minutes from the hotel - the system easy to understand - and free for anyone 65 plus.- on all trains in Hungary. So a nice day trip to delightful Szendentre and right back to hotel. Must comment that breakfast is a superb buffet to satisfy any type of hunger from previous evening's fun. I recommend everything except the fruit juices. But coffee - perfect."

"This hotel is conveniently located next to one of the stops for the 100E, the express bus that one could take from the airport to the center of the city. It is also right by a subway station and walking distance to many points of interest. My room was comfortable. I did not eat any meals at the hotel restaurant. Very good value for the money. I would stay at Danubius Hotel Astoria again. "
