“One of many stays in Bucharest”

I have traveled to Bucharest many times and have never been diappointed with the city or my accomidations. This trip was no exception. This was my first stay at the Ramada Majestic and I will certainly return. The hotel is in a great location in the city center, but just far enough off the main road to be quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Area recommendations

As always I recommend staying close to the city center and the metro. Just make sure that you choose a hotel that is a block or two off the main rds. so that you aren't disturbed by traffic.

“Good hotel, Excellent location”

Quite a good hotel overall. Very clean! We were offered an early check in and an upgrade to a suite, which was excellent! The downsize was that the safe in the room was locked and we were advised to call the reception to open it for us, which we found very inconvenient. Same thing for the minibar. We had to call the room service several times until we caught them but once we placed the order, it was delivered almost instantly. All in all it was a good experience. We would return if we had to travel to Bucharest again!

“Really good hotel.”

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Wonderful choice at the breakfast buffet. Restaurant has extensive 'European' menu. All of which was really well prepared and presented. Staff very helpful. Would recommend this hotel.

Area recommendations

We were in Bucharest for a Rugby match otherwise probably would not have visited. The People's Palace is worth a look and there was a nice Christmas Market in the park near the hotel but otherwise I couldn't recommend any part of the city. Definitely would not try to drive in the city.

“Great location”

Great location, good breakfast but be wary of asking the reception to book you a taxi or a trip as the price is approximately double. Instead go outside and hail a yellow cab but watch that the driver puts the metre on. Minor point - the beds were very soft which wasn't ideal.

Area recommendations

You wouldn't go to Bucharest for the food but Thai Moods is a good restaurant albeit with a very small menu, you will need to book. Baneasa shopping city is a great shopping mall. The old town area (Lipscani) is full of cafes with a nice vibe but they are very smokey. Check the Opera House for cheap tickets an hour before the performance - the performances change nightly.

Be very careful of pickpockets and taxi cons!

“Wonderful hotel in a great location”

I was more than satisfied with this hotel. The apartment was lovely and spacious. It was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. The location of the hotel was brilliant also. We were directly in the centre of the city and did not have to rely on any transport for site seeing. Staff was very friendly and helpful so over all a very pleasant stay. The only negative point was the breakfast. I travel a fare amount and this must have been the most basic breakfast I have yet experienced. Breakfast is not important to me so my stay was fantastic but if you are a big breakfast eater, you would be disappointed.

“Comfortable hotel in a developing country.”

1....situation great, central to old town and tourist spots.Close to large shopping centre 2....comfortable clean rooms with everything working. 3....great buffet breakfast 4....relaxing snack and alcohol bar/cafe. 5....definitely worth the price.

1...normal interesting old town attractions including parliament building. 2...beautiful large park with some family activities such a lakes/waterfall//rowing./great flower arrangement/interesting bridges. 3...great opera house in the old style with excellent orchestra and opera performers. 4....some excellent night spots with music in bars...need to walk around the town and find the spots. 5....worth goig to the new shopping centre..a stroll away.

“Convenient to stay”

I recently travelled to Bucharest and stayed at this hotel. I can say that it is convenient to stay there. The breakfast was better than I expected. It is right in the city center, close to too many attractions. I would recommend this hotel.
