“Comfortable Hotel in Prime Location”
Very comfortable room with free (and reasonably fast) internet access available throughout the hotel. Excellent breakfast (nice selection of hot and cold w/fresh fruits). Great location---1-2 blocks from the old town, Universitatii subway station is just steps away---don't be put off by the alley in front. For the price can't be beat in bucharest. If city views, fancy lobbies, spacious restaurants are important to you, then better to look elsewhere. The money exchange next to the hotel (on the main street) offers great rates, btw.
“No parking lot”
I chose this hotel because it said it included a parking lot in the hotel (others said at a short distance) and when we arrived it turned out they have no parking and they just recommend you to park your car on the street right under a "No parking" sign.
“I'd certainly stay there again”
Great service, everyone was very helpful and kind. The food was very fresh tasting. I'd go again.
“Friendly comfortable hotel in a central position. Excellent Staff.”
The Hotel was very comfortable. Nice room with Queen Anne size bed. Bathroom had a good sized walk- in shower with all the usual free shower gels etc. The breakfast was plentiful with a choice of hot and cold dishes. Had a meal in the hotel Bistro one night which was delicious and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. The reception staff were very helpful and efficient. The reception area had two wi fi computers which were free to use. Hotel was very central to all the sights and within walking distance of the Lipscani area with all the bars and restaurants. Highly recommend this Hotel.
“Cleanliness, convenience, comfort and Service in a still developing city”
Spent the first two nights of a10 day stay in Romania at the Elisabeta. It was the best hotel of the whole trip. The location is perfectly central- right off the central square -Piata Unirii. Despite being on a somewhat grimy looking street the Hotel was absolutely spotless, the rooms were good sized, comfortable and quiet.. They had all the amenities you would expect in a 4 star hotel. (not a given in Romania) The staff was friendly and helpful. They organized us a private tour with a driver -to get an overview of the city- which was cheaper and much more interesting than the normal commercially run tours. The driver was pleasant, knowledgeable and willing to share his experiences with us. The small Bar in the lobby also served food and the meal we ate there was simple but quite good. We returned to Bucharest before departing and stayed at the Airport- the whole family was sad that we hadn't booked the last night at the Elisabeta.
“Excellent!”
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and were extremely pleased with the room and the services. The staff was very polite, nice, and helpful. The room came with complimentary continental breakfast and internet. Fitness facilities were well equipped. Also, the hotel is located near downtown Bucharest (2 minutes walking distance) . Overall, we could not be more pleased with our stay. Highly recommended!
“Will always go back o this great hotel.”
The staff were outstandng, very friendly, helpful, and knowledgable of the area.I stayed at the hotel three nights the first part of June and two nights the middle of June, I had booked this stays in March of 2011. The first three nights were in a large room but the 2nd stay was in a smaller room. Both rooms were comfortable, clean, and up to 4 star standards. I did not like, however, the manner in which my room was switched. I was originally booked for room 228 and was switched at check-in to 304 (304 a smaller room). The staff explained that this was a buisness hotel and was extremely busy with bussiness people on the dates of my second stay. I was paying the same amount as th bussiness man so why change me? I was dissapointed in this but it did not detract from my overall outstanding experience at the hotel. The breakfast was included and was great. Everything I wanted was on the bar or cooked for me if I asked. Diana, one of the yong ladies who attends the breakfast area, was fantastic. I would go back to this hotel for nothing else that to see here smile and enjoy her great personallity. She was outstanding and definitely brought great credit upon the hotel. I certainly will use this hotel again and again.
“V. v. good hotel”
I booked this hotel based on the reviews I had read, and we were extremely glad we did. This hotel was v. v. good. The staff at reception were helpful and spoke excellent english, there was a great selection of food at breakfast and open until 11/12pm (depending on the day). The rooms were clean and a good size, the bathroom clean and functional. There was also a great transfer service to and from the airport and a fantastic trip to Transylvania and the 2 castles. All in all we felt very safe and looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Bucharest.
“Great location, price, staff, and facilities”
i've booked dozens of hotels through expedia and i have never felt the need to review one before. i could not have been more pleased with this hotel. immediately upon check-in we were upgraded. the room was outstanding, the only drawbacks were the tiny beds, (standard in europe) and the air conditioning unit which appeared to be malfunctioning, (for which they sent a technician the following day). the staff was courteous, friendly, and helpful offering suggestions to nearby attractions and hotels, and even offered to show us some of the nightlife. i would not stay anywhere else in bucharest.
“"A Great Find"”
The K&K Hotel Elisabeta is tucked away off a main street in Bucharest so it is in a quiet and calm neighborhood. It is a modern hotel which is nicely decorated. The service from their staff is what makes the hotel a great find. We arrived at the hotel early because we had an extremely early flight and our room was not ready so they offered us complimentary coffee and breakfast while we waited. Once a possible room was ready they showed us the room to see if it would work for us and once we said it would it took them about ten minutes to prepare it for us with all the amenities a triple room would need. The staff at the desk were always friendly and willing to answer any of our questions. They even knew which museums and other sites would be open and closed since it was a holiday weekend! The hotel provided two computers with internet connection and a printer in their lobby. This was very helpful. We had a great stay!
