“Absolutely brilliant!”
This place was fantastic! The whole hotel was clean and tidy, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast in the morning was an awesome spread of pastries, cheeses and cereals. Every aspect of the hotel carried the "vintage" theme in a way that wasn't tacky, and we loved our room. Staying at the vintage was one of the highlights of our stay in Brussels.
“Quirky hotel surrounded by food!”
My partner and I loved staying at the Vintage for two nights in July. The hotel is decked out with all sorts of 70s and 80s inspired decor and our room was the same. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a 1 minute walk from two streets filled with cafes and restuarants, which is what we loved most about our location. About a 2-3 min walk to the nearest train station. Not a lot to do in Brussels, but our hotel seemed to be in an expensive neighbourhood, surrounded by shops like Bulgari, Gucci, Chanel etc. so if you enjoy shopping this is a great location. Otherwise you can catch the train to any other area. This surprised us as we got a great price with the hotel and were in what seemed to be a very expensive neighbourhood. Would recommend staying in Brussels on the weekend as most tours (except Red sight-seeing bus) do not operate on weekdays.
“Vintage hotel Brussels - Nice hotel, excellent location”
We certainly came up trumps with the Vintage hotel, Brussels - Its location is ideal, just a few hundred metres from the Louiza Metro station, lots of bars, and restaurants, supermarkets and 'posh' shops. The hotel was very clean, with friendly and helpful staff, and offered a pretty reasonable, buffet style, breakfast (nice coffee!).
“A Great Find!”
This hotel was such a great find. It was a 6 Euro cab ride from the Eurostar station. It's right next to the subway. (The Grand Place is a 10 minute ride away and the system is easily navigable) and the hotel is next to Marcolini, perhaps the best chocolate maker in the country (and one that doesn't have stores all over touristy areas so it's the perfect gift for serious chocolate lovers who don't want some crap you paid too much for from Leonidas.) The hotel has funky, modern decor, so it feels very young and hip, but is still comfortable and not pretentious. The staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful when it comes to directions or just about anything. As I checked out, the lady at the desk insisted on making me a freshly made (actual) cappuccino for the ride to the airport. The wine bar (sadly only offering wine, no beers) is open 24 hrs and has good prices, so there's always a mix of folks hanging around working and using the free wifi available in the lobby and lounge area. The staff, always quick with a smile and some light conversation, even gave me a complimentary glass of wine. I would absolutely stay there again. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Brussels.
“Nice spot”
We were 8 people travelling together on a tour. We enjoyed the fact that we could sit on the patio in the morning when having our breakfast. At night, that patio is also a "bar à vin" and so, you can have a glass of wine before you go to bed. Our bedroom was huge and nice. One down side, mattresses were soft and seriously, what's up with twin beds when the room could definitely fit 2 double or queen size bed? Also, don't pay for wifi codes, the free wi-fi works everywhere. We paid 5 euros for 48 hours and were never asked for the codes we were given.
“'The Pick of Brussels'”
I have to visit Brussels in business and have stayed in few hotels so far. The Vintage hotel will be one in the top three for revisit. It was not prententious, indeed it was comfortable, relaxing and had a 'positive' athmosphere. Staff I met were all friendly. The breakfast was great and well presented. Only issue was the banging noise from the heating, fortunately I like a cool room at night. Overall due to this hotel's character it scored well over many 4 star hotels but that is most likely reflected in the fact that my needs are focussed on one overnight stay with minimal fuss and not really time to enjoy luxuries. the hotel's position near to a metro station was a real bonus too on a rainy evening. Will return.
“Comfort and convenience”
Stayed 4 nights from 9 December. I have stayed at several 4 star hotels around Avenue Louise in the last few years and this has to be the best yet. Hotel is very contemporary in style and the staff are first rate and very friendly, feels like a family run business. Rooms very comfortable and quiet and yet only a couple of minutes walk to Louise Metro so couln't be more convenient. First class continental buffet breakfast with good choice constantly replenished. I guess the only very minor negative is that at weekends evertyone tends to breakfast later so that at times the room couldn't cater for everyone despite the efforts of staff. Two simple solutions though - get up earlier or dine later! Will definitely use next time I am in Brussels.
“Excellent Brussels hotel”
I have stayed in many hotels in Brussels and have had some bad experiences. I was not sure what this one would be like when I booked it on-line. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a very good hotel - friendly, good rooms, free WiFi connection and excellent breakfast. I can highly recommend it. I shall stay at this hotel on my next visit to Brussels.
“Fits my purposes. Recommended”
Very good for the purpose of my trip. Good location, near Louise underground station and shopping area. Good breakfast, simply but delightful. Owners very nice persons. Could have been wireless internet in the rooms. Very small elevator (not really a problem). It still smells paint, but that's temporary. Didn't like the carpet. Even though, undoubtful recommended.
“Belle surprise !”
Hôtel très agréable et original, à taille humaine. A proximité de l'avenue Louise et du métro. Très bon accueil, chambre et salle de bains de belles dimensions. Literie très confortable. Rue calme. Petit déjeuner de qualité. Nous reviendrons...
