Dining
Le Chalet d'Odin - As its name suggests, guests enjoy a Scandinavian ambience in this dining room styled like a traditional Norwegian chalet with wood paneled walls. The food, however, is unmistakably French with lunch and dinner menus featuring dishes such as pan-fried fillet of beef, chartreuse of soft peppers and bourguignon butter. A full buffet breakfast is also served here. Le Chalet offers a cozy atmosphere and creative kitchen for all budgets and offers a large variety of healthy foods.
Stefany's Bar - Jovial bartenders are on hand to shake up a wide choice of cocktails, from Belgian to internaional beverages, in this relaxed glass-fronted bar facing Avenue Louise. Dark-wood paneled walls, heavy brocade drapes, tan leather armchairs, and reproduction prints depicting scenes of the Brussels of old conspire to create an old world charm. Bar snacks including Ceasar salad and pizzas are available and a pianist entertains most evenings.

“Not impressed”
I was not impressed with the room. Although it was a large room, It was not very clean. It was smelly. The pillows were very small and flat. The staff in the breakfast canteen were not very attentative. They were too busy talking around the back and considering we went for breakfast at what would be deemed a busy breakfast time, the staff didn't seem bothered checking whether any guests were waiting to be greeted. After waiting a few minutes I had to call around the back to get someone's attention. The cuttlery had not been replenished and what was there had not been washed properly. I would not stay at this hotel again.
“BRISTOL STEPHANIE”
Excellent service and superb value for money.
“Would recommend this to anyone going to Brussels”
Lovely hotel with one of the biggest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. The room decor, and indeed the whole hotel, was excellent. I used this as a base for three days so didn't eat in the hotel or use any other facilities. Staff were very attentive and given that I arrived at the same time as a party of 10 my checkin was completed with minimum delay. I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and indeed have already decided that I will stay here again next time I am in Brussels.
“very nice hotel. My only complaint was that we could hear the traffic all night long.”
High quality hotel fairly close to everything.
“All good except the water”
Lovely hotel but we arrived just before 11pm and water was going off at 11 through to 6am the next morning therefore only had bottled water. Water pressure in shower was poor and not sure if this was linked to work going on or if it's always like this. Otherwise really nice, clean hotel in good location
“Over my expectations!”
This a very nice hotel. It is my first time ever in a Thon chain. The hotel is well located and staff very kind. The only issue I found against is that there is not an ice machine. After this, it's excellence. Nick
“Nice location, satisfactory accommodations”
Nice & convenient location. Spacious rooms and good basic service
“A wonderful experience”
The hotel was conveniently located and the room was large and comfortable.
“Thieves operate in this hotel, beware!”
My handbag was stolen from the breakfast room on the first morning, the hotel staff were very unhelpful and claimed it was not their responsibility. Although there was CCTV we were not allowed to look at it. We had to find the police station ourselves and report it. The standard of the hotel was what you would expect from a 4 star hotel, except all the rooms were very hot so you had to have the airconditioning on full blast all the time. The one morning we did eat breakfast, the food was good, however not worth the astromincal price of 25€ per person. The food in the restaurant was also overpriced. There are many other places to eat in Brussels and would recommend that people find somewhere alternative for breakfast and evening meals.
“Mom and daughter trip to Europe.”
Pro's: This was my first time traveling to Europe. My mom and I were both pleased with Bristol Stephanie. The facility is visually appealing and very clean. I'm a terrible sleeper and don't recall ever hearing outside noises. The walls are well insulated. The subway is within walking distance from the hotel. My Mom and I only know English and that was not a problem. Everyone at the hotel, and the surrounding area, know English fairly well. Cons: It would have been nice to have the ability to exchange currency at the hotel. However, there is a Western Union which will exchange your US dollars to Euro's several blocks away. Also, breakfast at the hotel Monday - Friday (25 Euros per person) is significantly higher than on Saturdays and Sundays (13 Euros per person). Please keep that in mind because everyone at the hotel seems fairly clueless about this gigantic price change (and no, you do not get less on the weekends). Exki is a great place nearby for breakfast if you are looking for something much cheaper. To sum it up: Coming from America, we had to adjust to the size of everything in Europe - from the small food portions, tiny cars, skinny people, tiny walk ways, narrow roads, and ESPECIALLY the small "cups of coffee" which are actually Espresso. Luckily, they do not skimp on the beer portions. ;) Please keep in mind, European beds are much smaller by American standards. Most beds are single or two doubles pushed together to make one large bed. Enjoy!
