“Really good hotel”

Hotel is located in a great location - near to the metro (subway) and to shops. To get to the main centre with all the restaurants/attractions is about 20 minute walk but there are lots of places to see and do on the way - or you could get a train/taxi. We booked hotel through expedia and got a really good deal. The hotel rate listed at the hotel was a lot higher than we had paid. For the rate we got the hotel was a steal. Hotel was clean, rooms not massive but have everything you need. Staff really friendly and willing to help with any queries etc. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would definitely go back to it if I were to return to Brussels.

Getting around

Metro is really easy to use to get around - you can get a 3 day "jump" card for aroun 9 euros. However, the weather was really nice when we were there and the city is not massive so can easily be covered on foot.

Events and shows

We went to the music village jazz club for the night - was a good night out - we had prebooked and it was all fully booked in there. Good night out.

“One of the finest hotels in Brussels!”

Extremely helpful customer service, good location in high end shopping district, and 5 star quality of service overall. Will definitely come back again.

Visit Chez Leon, honest and friendly, well established business. Avoid the restaurants by the Seafood area ran by Moroccan family, 2 young handsome brothers, they are dishonest. Do not let their good looks fool you, you will pay a high tab! We did :(

“Most comfortable hotel on our trip”

Good location, great coffee at breakfast, a shower out of your wildest fantasy. Only problem is weak WiFi signal (when you can't use WiFi at midnight due to a weak signal you've got a problem) -- we ended up using the high speed connection.

Area recommendations

The location was very convenient for us -- we were just a short walk away from the Metro station, which got us to the train station. We spent most of our time outside of Brussels, so convenience to the train station was important.

“Fantastic Hotel in a Fantastic location”

Highly recommend this hotel. It is a bit pricey for food and drink but the location of the hotel and the hotel staff, service and whole experience is worth paying that little extra for. Most of the sites in Brussels are within a 30minute walk from the hotel, including the main shopping district. The local amenities are good with a large selection of bars, clubs and restaurants to visit. Overall this hotel is very very good, and I would highly recommend a stay here!!

This area/neighbourhood is ideal for all visitors that wish to see the sites of Brussels and who enjoy shopping. There are ample designer shops surrounding the Hotel, which is only a 30minute walk from the Eurostar station.

“Poor Service at Sofitel Brussels Le Louise”

Check in was fine Service in the lounge was poor, and the attendants were rude. Minibar was poorly stocked and the can of seltzer I used delayed my checkout since they somehow could not use my credit card on file. The hallways are poorly illuminated The bathroom was a highlight of the hotel experience. Well done! Overall well below par as compared to other Sofitel Hotels.

“Might have been 5 star, but...”

Hotel was clean, good location. Nice walk to the Grand Place, in a good shopping district. Metro was right around the corner. Staff was unfriendly and pretentious. Twice the staff did not think we belonged in the hotel and requested ID to enter. Breakfast was very very overpriced. Walk 10 minutes West and 5 minutes North to Het Hot Water. Fantastic Flemish breakfast.

Getting around

Get a 4 day metro pass from a Kiosk, save yourself lots of money.

Dining

Great food in the side streets of the Grand Place. Don't eat at the hotel for Breakfast.

“Lovely Boutique Hotel”

Stayed in this hotel for a weekend break to visit the christmas markets. The hotel has recently been refurbished to a high standard. The ensuite shower rooms are particularily nice. The area is very upmarket with lots of designer shops just across the road. There was a little bit of noise from the main road as our rooms were at the front of the hotel but not enough to spoil our stay. The chocolates left in your room at night were a noce touch. Wouild definately stay here again.

“Affordable luxury”

Couldn't quite believe my luck when this hotel came up on Expedia at a reasonable price. I assume that when the Eurocrats are in town they charge full rate, but the rest of the week rates are reduced for normal mortals... Whatever, it certainly felt like the genuine 5* article, with very smart modern decor, and a lovely room, with really luxurious bed (which my wife wanted to take home!). Friendly, helpful service, and a convenient location - 2 stops on the metro or 10 minutes walk from the Eurostar terminal, just round the corner from upmarket shopping area, 10 minute walk from the historic centre. Plenty of good eateries within easy walking distance. Didn't try the hotel restaurant, since their prices were still definitely in 5* mode. Would certainly stay there again if visiting Brussels, but the attractions of the city itself seem fairly exhausted after a few days...

Area recommendations

St.Boniface area near the hotel has wonderful selection of restaurants.
