“Would recommend”

Lovely rooms with enough space for 2 adults and a child. Great to have tea and coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Steam room and swimming a good addition even if the pool was a little on the small side but you could get your work out from the numerous exercise machines.

Area recommendations
Christmas markets were excellent and the grote market square a very worthy unesco world heritage site. Easy city to get around and a variety of places to eat which should suit all tastes.

“Recently decorated”

Aim for this hotel now while it's still looking like a scaled down boutique hotel, and before it loses its recently redecorated gloss. Rooms were clean, fittings were quite stylish, colour scheme cool. Good location for the Christmas market, and probably best to go in winter when daylight hours are shorter and you are less likely to see the adjacent car park.

Area recommendations
Grand Place because it's central, the streets are small and can be relatively quiet and it's characterful.

“Excellent location”

This hotel is adjacent to St Catherine's Square, which is full of restaurants, and five minutes walk to the Grand Place. it is quiet, comfortable and clean. It punches above it three star rating! I would thoroughly recommend it!

“Brussels-City Weekend Break”

Really great hotel-we were five minutes walk from the Grand Plas and so could easily access the main restaurants/shops/bars. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and polite. Room was comfortable, clean and very spacious. Our room even had a sofa, which folded out to provide a second double bed, so there was plenty of room to accomodate a family had we needed it. The hotel is also extremely safe, as you needed a key card to open the front doors and to use the lifts. Tea and coffee facilities were also in our room, which was a welcome surprise as I have stayed in many city centre hotels which do not provide this.

Dining
Vincents restaurant off the Grand Plas-fantastic food, especially the steaks. Visit Mort Subite for a great selection of beer, or for a lunchtime coffee, which is extremely cheap and comes with free biscuits and chocolate.

“Lovely room”

The room was lovely - modern, spacious and comfortable. The view was across to a multi- storey car park but we weren't expecting anything more. The shower was quirky to operate but OK when you worked it out. It was only a 10 minute stroll to the main square and 5 minutes to the St. Catherines area of seafood restaurants (recommended in the guide books, although we didn't try any). We didn't eat or drink in the hotel, nor did we use any of the amenities so I can't comment on these aspects.

Area recommendations
The central square is the obvious main attraction of the city and the nearby cathedral is lovely. We were only in town for a couple of days so as the weather was nice we went on an open top bus tour of the city to see as much as possible and to utilise the hop on and off facilities. Without getting off the tour lasts for an hour and a half and for 20 Euros represents reasonable value.
Dining
There is a street of Asian restaurants near the Bourse/stock exchange building - mainly Thai and Vietnamese. For beer lovers the Delirium Cafe in a small avenue off the Rue des Bouchers ( a street full of restaurants although a bit touristy and thus pricey) is a must - 2000 different sorts ! The cellar bar can be crowded and understaffed but the street level sister bar is more relaxed and has a wide beer selection as well.

“Very comfortable hotel”

We were put in this hotel as there was a mix up with our other hotel but were really pleased we were. The hotel is clean, comfortable and friendly. The breakfast was lovely and nothing was too much trouble.

“adequate but no more”

This place markets itself as a business hotel, but is a poor choice for this. You have to pay for in-room wireless, which for a hotel of this nature is like paying for heat or water. The hotel does provide a few computers in the lobby--but they didn't work. None of them. The room itself, while clean and reasonably comfortable, was not an especially good place to work. It was not an awful place--and the breakfast was really very good--but it was extremely bland, and the internet situation was awful. I evidently made a mistake, thinking WiFi was included here, and it was not. I would therefore not stay here again under those circumstances.

“Nice hotel”

Nice hotel in a convient location for places such as Grand Place and the Christmas markets. i see that a few reviewers have mentioned the area- if you turn left out of the hotel, then right, then all is ok, if you turn left out the hotel, you may come across the odd homeless person.

Area recommendations
The Grand Place is the hubb of things in Brussels, with things such as Mannekin Pis being close by, but there is other things to see. you can easily walk to the Royal palace's from the hotel. Look out for the light show in the Grand Place at night too!
When to go
We went at Christmas, although i have been to Brussels probally about 20 times previous to this at various times of the year. to Get to the Christmas markets turn right out the hotel, the first left and follow the road towards the big wheel.

Brussels City Centre - Grand Place, Brussels, Belgium: A heart-shaped ring road defines Brussels’ city core, and most of its visitor attractions. Within these limits, the centre consists of two distinct halves. To the west is the Lower Town, a tangle of medieval streets centred on the Grand Place, a vast cobbled square surrounded by ornate Flemish buildings. To the east is the newer and more aristocratic Upper Town, a zone of palaces and parks, grand museums, and gothic churches.
