Great hotel - especially the staff

Posted 06-Sep-2014
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect.
Cons: No improvements are necessary.
Location: Easy location to Magritte Museum, Centraal Station, pubs, restaurants, little grocery store and a very electic flea market in front of the church.
The hotel's location was perfect. The room was huge. Very clean and comfortable. Close to shops, restaurants, tram and Centraal Station, which we used daily. Took the train to Bruges one day and Ghent the next. Brussels is very easy to get around. The staff at the hotel, especially Carlo and Grigori in the restaurant were very friendly and always had smile for us at the end of the day. We sat in the restaurant bar a few times and they made sure we had every we wanted and/or needed. We need to thank Carlo for this expert directions to the various sights and to Grigori for the ice bucket to chill our purchased bottle of wine. All in all one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in Europe.

Perfect location- super central!

Posted 19-Aug-2014
This hotel went above my expectations. The hotel had all the essential amenities- fridge, hair dryer, lift, closet space, tub and a large bed with lots of pillows! Very clean. Close to a market, which has live music at night. Lots of stores close by. Walking distance to all attractions and transit.

Nice Hotel in Good Location

Posted 01-Aug-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff knowledge
The hotel was great...very clean, good facilities and a fabulous location in Brussels. The staff was not nearly as good as the hotel. When we arrived at the main train station in Brussels the associate who I called at the hotel could not tell me how to get to the hotel. She also did not offer to get anyone on the phone who could explain it (turns out it wasn't difficult either). Other than that we had a great experience.

Hotel situated in center. Lots of restaurants near

Posted 24-Jul-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Washcloths needed in bathrooms.
Location: Great location - next to museums, palace, restaurants and shops.
It is a pleasant hotel in center close to everything. Breakfast was included and was very nice. Rooms had windows and AC. Very friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed our 2 nights there and would stay again if in Brussels.

Nice traditional hotel close to the city centre

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: Nice central location, helpful staff
Cons: The hairdryer!!!!
I booked the hotel based on previous comments and it's location. We travelled to Brussels on the Eurostar and the hotel was about 10 minutes away by taxi. It was my partners 50th birthday and some friends were meeting us at the hotel as a surprise. When the hotel knew this they were extremely helpful in co-ordinating the 'surprise' and we found lots of unexpected little extras appearing in our room, starting with Champagne, fruit & chocolates - what a lovely surprise which really made the week-end extra special. On Sundays they have a late check-out policy of 5.00pm which was great, allowing us to make the most of our last day and still freshen up before leaving. If we visit Brussels again, we will definitely be staying there!

Good

This hotel looked quite posh from the outside and is in what seems to be a more upmarket area. The restaurants in the area were all quite expensive, but we did find one just around the corner in the end. Inside the hotel is quite dated but the rooms were clean Wifi was a nice bonus. We didn't have breakfast or eat in the restaurant as it was expensive. We went into the main centre as even in the bakery round the corner from the hotel it was 3 euro 80 for a croissant. Overall we got good value for money at £65 a night. The staff were all very friendly too. The only issue was the amount of noise on Monday morning with people slamming their doors. The hotel could do with some slow closing mechanisms of some sort.
