“Good Stay again”
My second visit to the Marriot after using this Hotel last year, as I like the location with it being a short walk from the Grand Place & you always know what to expect at a Marriot. Service was excellent as usual with all Staff polite & professional, only stopped the one night compared to the three nights last year, but everything was fine. Only one slight problem which was a missing TV remote in my room, but this was replaced within minutes after I called reception, so no problem there. Overall a good hotel, with a great central location.
“BEST LOCATION EVER”
The hotel is functional if your trip to Brussels involves being out and about all day like ours. The bed was amazing and the room was spotless. Check in was strictly 3pm but the receptionist was happy to take our bags. The best thing about the hotel is its location; it is on the Bourse so the tram is across the street; there are really cool bars such as Mappa Mundo and Bijon right around the corner; excellent Thai restaurants such as Fanny Thai too. The staff in the hotel were friendly but reception was busy so be prepared to wait a few mins to be seen to. we have stayed at the Metropole before and this was far nicer; the room was bigger and had a nice view too and we were also offered a choice of rooms and floors - we will definitely be going back :-)
“My friend and I had a great stay at the Marriott Brussels!”
Perfect Location near the main square - easy walking distance to several restaurants and the train station. We were upgraded to Royal Suite on first night - bonus! The twin room we had booked was spacious enough with generous sized single beds. The staff were very friendly and most helpful! Recommend to all!
“Great Hotel”
I am very happy with the service and the quality
“Great hotel in perfect location”
Only stayed one night but it was great. Checked in early and they had a room ready for us. The rooms are big and clean with an enormous bed - so comfortable! It was very quiet too. We didn't use any of the facilities but had a look at the gym and it was clean and no none in there! Couldn't ask for a better location. We walked from the train station and it took about 15 mins so no need for a cab. Not much to see or do in Brussels so it was good to be so close to the Grand Place. Very polite staff at reception. Only let down was that the lobby bar wasn't open the whole weekend we were there which seemed crazy.
“Fantastic hotel”
We stayed 6th to the 8th April, 2009. Great location for sight seeing. Warm welcome from all hotel staff who couldn't do more for us. We didn't book breakfast through expedia as other reviews quoted that it was not worth 25 euros. On arrival we were told breakfast was included in our booking of the 240 GB pounds we paid for 2 nights for three adults - we didn't argue. Breakfast was all you would want but not worth 25 euros. Our room was really lovely with a massive bed and extra fold out bed but not your usual small camp bed, an okay size for an adult. The bathroom was spotless. Would definately stay again but didn't enjoy Brussels.
“Good quality in central brussels”
This is a centrally located hotel within walking distance of the central tourist sites and shopping areas. We got a room overlooking a courtyard area at the back but this also meant the room was very quiet - so no complaints! The usual marriott comforts were in evidence so I would definately stay here again.
“You'd be crazy not to book this hotel!”
The Marriot was fantastic. We arrived at 9am and our room was ready for us and was very spacious. The hotel staff were pleasent and very helpful. A fridge was provided whic enabled us to buy our own refreshments from the local supermarket. it is right in front to the tram station and the Grand place - good location. There is a 24 hour gym and sauna which was clean. I actually lost an earring whilst showering in the gym and a worker on reception got a screw driver and opened the drain to pick it out! What fantastic service! The staff also helped us with directions and places to visit. I would recommend this place to anyone.
“Quality hotel in central Brussels”
I chose the hotel because it was directly opposite the Ancienne Belgique music venue where I was attending a concert. It's a 5 Star hotel, but frankly, I wasn't sure it was that great. It's very nice - but not THAT nice. My room - a single, admittedly - was tiny. I've stayed in nicer Travelodge's, frankly. The tea and coffee making facilities were a nice touch. The shower in the bathroom wasn't that great. The location is very convenient. I went in mid-December, and the Christmas Markets were in mid-flow; the hotel was perfect for accessing those. Overall - a nice hotel, but not your usual 5 Star.
“Great Position for the Grand Place”
A very central position in Brussels if you want to be near the Grand Place which is only a short 5 minute stroll. The downside is that it can be quite noisy being located on one of Brussels main streets, but shut the double glazed windows & it's pretty quiet. If you know Marriot hotels, then this follows the usual format with decent sized rooms & excellent comfy beds. The only criticism was that on our second day, the room was not serviced at all - I rang to say we did not need the room cleaning, but we would need some clean towels. 10 minutes later, someone literally came straight in the door without any knocking or saying anything & put the towels into the bathroom. This was a real shock, as we would have expected the door to be knocked before any service personnel would enter the room (with us in it) & could have been more than embarrassing. Other than that the Hotel was great.
