“Xmas markets trip”
great city had a great time, hotel was very nice
“Great Place to Stay”
The hotel is superbly placed directly opposite Central station and no more than 10 minutes walk from the Grand-Place. The rooms are comfortable and clean.
“Too much for sub par; location saves it”
Pros: - Location. Right outside Brussels Centrall station, and a few blocks from Grand Place. Cons: - Hot water flashes between hot and cold. - Shower leaked into the floor. Tried damming up the shower doors to mitigate what leaked on to the bathroom floor. - Air conditioner didn't work. Room was stuffy the whole stay and I couldn't open the windows. - It was a non-smoking room, but had a hint of smell as though it had been a smoking room years ago. - WiFi isn't free. This is just a basic ammenity for an upscale hotel charging their level of nightly rate. Overall, too much money to get 2-star comfort. I'll stay at my usual hotel next time.
“Fall in Brussels”
Good locations but the hotel staff was "sruffy". Also, I had to ask the front desk to have my room cleaned and more towels on 2 occasions. Rooms were small and outdated.
“Fabulous Brussels hotel in all respects!”
I highly recommend staying at Le Meridien Brussels --- The hotel amenties are first class & staff is very helpful. The location of th hotel is prime as well & you can easily get to anywhere in Brussels from here. The subway, buses & train station are all right at your doorstep - Taxis are easy to find here as well. Also, as "Grand Place" is right around the corner, you can easily walk to many of the main tourist sights, too. This is especially convenient if you are in Brussels for business but don't have a lot of time to explore. Also, the breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of variety --- In general, the food in the hotel overall was exceptional. As I was in Brussels on business & was often tired at the end of my day, I ordered room service a number of times & know I would not have had a better meal in a restaurant off site. I look forward to staying here again during my next visit to Brussels!
“Great hotel in great location, right opposite Brussels Centrale Station”
The hotel is in a great location, opposite Brussels Centrale Station and right near to the Grand Place. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Also lots of shops and plenty of chocolate specialists that are open late!! Room was very nice. Very warm too, I think the air con was broken. For future reference you can sign a disclaimer and have the key to open your window if you wish!! The rooms are very clean and beds are comfy. Lovely bathroom, very spacious. Staff are always polite and helpful. Good choice of food on the menu and nice bar to have a drink in. It's so convenient to cross the road and hop on a train 1 stop to get back to the Eurostar. Brilliant. And yes they do have hairdryers at this hotel!
“Excellent”
Very good atmosphere and clean. My girlfriend was also satisfied.
“Best in Class”
My Mom and I stayed two nights in Brussels, one at the Novotel around the corner and one at Le Meridien. The Novotel may be a bit more "hip" and appeal to younger guests, but for about the same money you can stay in a truly best in class "traditional" hotel with an unbelievable location across the plaza from the train station. (If you're coming into Brussels by train via the airport or anywhere else for that matter, you can't get any closer to Central Station than this.) The staff were friendly and accommodating and the room was spacious and clean. Would definintely stay here again!
“Great hotel, but....”
This is an excellant hotel, everything about it is great except they have what you call a "green card" that you can hang out your door that says to save energy they will not come into your room to give you clean sheets or towels. Great concept and I always reuse towels more than once and I don't need my bed made everyday. But they also don't come in to empty garbage, replace drinking glasses, or replenish coffee/sugar/cream. You do receive a credit that you can use in their resturants for using this card each day. But I don't like having garbage pile up and would like to have coffee in the morning. The maids should still stop in each room to take care of these issues. Other than that it is a wonderderful hotel.
“Not Impressed”
This hotel is very tired and in need of refurbishment. The general condition of the room was very poor with dirty carpet, paint knocked off walls and doors and the bathroom was not particularly clean at all. would not recommend this hotel despite its good location.
