Our issues with this hotel is that our room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. We had 3 large suitcases that we struggled to get up and down the stairs. The other big issue is that the bathroom had a glass door! and so no privacy. The room was very hot and there was only a broken fan that was hard to keep upright.

We needed a quick place to sleep before taking a flight. It was a basic room. We did not use the amenities. The room was clean. The front desk gentlemen was great. Carried out bags up to the 3rd floor where our room was.

Great stay for a great price
The hotel was clean, the staff was excellent and helpful. Brian, at the front desk was so helpful, informative and professional. The restaurant was surprisingly good. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

The Taormina is not the Ritz but you already know that. It's also a lot less expensive than the Ritz. I arrived late. The woman staffing the front desk could not have been more helpful. She showed me where to catch the public bus to the airport the next morning and checked the schedule for me. She gave me a plate and bowl and silverware so I could eat the dinner I had in my backpack. The room had some street noise but not too bad. There's a pizza place next door, I realized the next morning. I just needed a place for the night before my flight the next morning. I'd stay again, no question.

The room was clean, modern and comfortable with a good shower. Good free parking. I found entry via Whatsapp problematic, as I’m an old technophobe, and I would have preferred a lockable wooden door to the shower room instead of a translucent glass sliding panel, but I was alone so no problem.

I just want to clarify, for any future reader of this comment, that our digital key solution is complementary, which means it is not limited to this only system. We do indeed prefer this system since the webpage containing the keys also provides a lot of information for our guests as well as a direct chat with the reception, however classical key cards are also still available. I also want to point out that the doors to our bathrooms are indeed made of glass. However they are not translucent as they’re all covered with a satin foil. Very nice hotel. Very good front desk, clean. Good internet. Good breakfast. Just a few small niggles: no lamp bulb in desk light. No batteries in safe.
