“Not Impressed”
The best part of the experience was the charming Frenchwoman (Ghistel) who checked me in. The location is inconvenient to almost everything. The shower did not work the first day. The room, while standard in size to other Four Points and Sheratons in the U.S., lacked a workable air conditioning (or, at least the only way I could cool the room down was opening the window). The window, once opened, wouldn't close. The cleaning staff left me with no soap day 1 (I checked in on a Sunday, out on a Wednesday). The cleaning staff also somewhat sloppily closed the closet door after cleaning with one of my shirt sleeves hanging out (by about 6-8 inches). Not sure how that could be done unless hurried carelessness. On the plus side, the staff were polite and friendly. The neighborhood, while inconvenient, is pleasant. The lobby is nice and the food selection at breakfast (which is a buffet) was superb. And, of course, the price was right. So, if you don't mind enduring the inconvenient location and suboptimal amenities, then it is worth it.
“A clean room with some street noise.”
Our total experience was good. It was hard for me to sleep with noises of people on the street at all hours. A nice breakfast and a great Irish pub across the street that had a great lunch!
“Staff Very Helpful”
My passport was stolen during my trip to Belgium, the reception staff was extremely helpful in helping me to get phone numbers and papers to secure a trip home.
“A very pleasent comfortable hotel.”
Welcomed by the hotel receptionist like an old friend, which set aside any frustration we may have felt from our journey. The room was very comfortable with all the usual facilities. The bed was really very comfortable and for a hotel very large. Breakfast was good and whilst we did not have any other meals there the menu looked quite appealing. The location just 75meters from Louise with two tram routes and at least two bus routes within 2 minutes walk made it a very convenient place to stay. It is a few minutes walk from Place Ferdinand Cocq where there are a number of good restaurants ranging in price from affordable to whew! I would definately stay at the hotel again should I travel to Brussels in the future. The only drawback is that the room prices escalate on Sunday evening and for the rest of the week due I expect to the EU being in town. I would suggest the hotel is a weekend venue rather than a weekday place to stay.
“should select the other one next time”
the parking garage is too narrow and in -out is horriable.
“great stay”
this is a fantastic hotel. great value for money. the only negative thing would be about the fitness area. this is not really more than 1 or 2 excercise machines.
“Excellent choice”
This hotel provides excellent service, displays enviromental concern. You are able to use the mini-fridge for small items, and with a garden to enjoy off the 4th floor. air conditioning is excellent for summer stays. it is located near a trendy area for shopping and just around the corner from the trolley, bus stop which connects you to all areas. buying a 10 trip bus pass is a very economical way to see the rest of brussels
“Nice hotel, decent location, terrible parking lot”
The hotel was nice and our room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We brought our small dog and were never once approached by the staff about the dog, we weren't charged any extra or told she wasn't allowed any certain places in the hotel, which was very nice. We brought her in the bar with us and also to the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet was good, nice variety. The location is not close to the main tourist attractions, but there is a tram stop down the street from the hotel that will take you into downtown and the staff at the front desk were very helpful in providing a map and directions. The parking lot of the hotel is very very small, in every way. There aren't very many parking spots and the spots they do have are extremely small. The lot was full when we arrived and we were told to park on the street. We were not pleased. The streets around the hotel are crowded and it was very difficult to find a spot. If you are driving, don't count on parking in the hotel parking lot and I hope you are an expert at parallel parking!
“Surpassed expectations”
I was expecting a small, middle of the road hotel but got extreme comfort! Very nice beds and bedding, good furniture, fantastic bathroom - I could almost have been in a small room at The Conrad! The only thing letting the room down was the paintwork - chosen colours more then actual state. Most of the room was neutral, but round by the bathroom there was a lot of yellow and blue together - enough to give you a headache! If they sort this out by the time I next return, I will be very happy!
“Nice hotel”
Friendly staff, very clean and very comfortable - the hotel is a little out of the way but that wasn't a problem, easy walking distance to whereever you'd want to go - we'd go back, strongly recomended!
