“Comfortable,conveniant.”

Having a great breakfast and a shuttle to the airport tipped the scales for me.The room was clean and very modern. The hotel is in a business complex so there are no restaurants bars or shops nearby.However, this is offset by the fact that you can take a $3.00 (15 min) train ride into the heart of Brussels and eat,drink and shop all you want. I hope to return and explore Brussels sometime soon.When I do,I will certainly consider this hotel.

“Good value”

Basic in all aspects, but functional and good value for money overall. Pity there is no fridge in the rooms.

“Good 'n' cheap - a great place to stay on a budget for 'cheap' early morning flights”

Fine for my purpose: a transit (Saturday) night to catch an early flight the following day. The hotel is easily accessible by train - provided you don't mind lugging your luggage _up_ the slight hill from the local station (I didn't mind...). Trains are from Brussels Noord to Leuven stop at "Diegem". The shuttle bus was fast (~10 minutes) to the airport and very well advertised (a result of other reviews?) The breakfast was more than adequate (included in my room rate); the evening meal at the sister hotel "Holiday Inn" (directly across the carpark - as recommended by the the 'Holiday Inn Express' desk staff) was fine - if perhaps a little upmarket for those on a budget. The room was a little shabby with a few cracked tiles in the bathroom etc. - but I found nothing 'unsanitary'.

“Holiday Inn Express Brussels Airport”

I wanted a hotel convenient to the airport. This seemed like an inexpensive choice. Parking cost 15 euros, Internet access was expensive, and the only restaurant within walking distance was priced for people on expense accounts -- and honestly, not that good, either. The room itself was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the front-desk staff signed me in for 30 free minutes of wifi, as long as I sat in the lobby. So that helped. To be fair, it would be possible to park on the street for free, although that would not be as secure. And you could grab dinner before you get to the hotel. The breakfast was good. So it was no all bad! Just be aware that the costs will add up.

“Not impressed”

The hotel was chosen for its proximity to the airport. Here our expectations were met. We always stay at Hampton Inns, when available. We expected a step down in quality but not this far. The mattress was hard as a rock and sagged in the middle - tough on two people. The room, while well equipped, was very small. The breakfast was surprisingly good. The check-in/out was efficient but stiff. The rate was high (location) and the exchange rate (1.5 dollars) made it worse.

Hotel is near at airport with suuttle service. Facility is clean and comfort but no aircondition. It would be good except hot summer.

“Don't expect shuttle from airport on Sunday”

My room and the hotel were very satisfactory. Unfortunately there were two drawbacks. One reason I chose the Holiday Inn Express was because of the shuttle to and from the airport. I arrived at the airport at 1 pm on Sunday only to find out that the next shuttle was not until approximately 5 pm. Upon contacting the hotel I had the choice of waiting, taking a cab that might cost 20 to 30 EU or taking the bus for 1.60 EU. I took the bus. The phone call cost me $17! The other drawback was having to go to the Holiday Inn next door for dinner. There are no restaurants within any kind of walking distance of HI Express.

“Internet issues”

Wifi is only in lobby. Felt like in a motel. Overpriced.

“Great hotel for a single traveler heading to the airport in the am”

The room was quite small. This was sufficent for my stay as I was only there for one evening, heading to the airport in the early am.
