“Nice and Clean”
Good hotel however a bit expensive
“Excellent once again”
One of the best hotels I have stayed at in over 50 years of business and pleasure
“Great eating in Brussels”
Conrad hotel in Brussels is tops. Some of the best food anywhere is in Brussels.
“Beautiful hotel lobby, rooms need renovation, service OK, expensive internet”
This hotel is in a fashionable location, with lots of shopping near by. It is not entirely convenient to the metro if you have a suitcase to drag. The service at the front desk was a bit snobbish rather than helpful. Internet is 25 euros for 24 hours and 10 euros for 1 hour. The business center has free internet, but with french keyboards, and the supposed free laptop hook-up in the business centre doesn't work. The front desk was not at all interested in fixing it or checking it. They got my bill wrong twice. Definitely make sure you get breakfast included in your booking otherwise it is 37 euros. The buffet is wonderful but not worth that price. The bar/lounge isgreat and does have good service, but it's around 13 euros for one small glass of wine. So things add up. The rooms are really old-fashioned (no flat screen TV, frilly antique looking upholstery, and they put me at the end of two very long hallways so it was quite a trek. The bathroom and room were nice and spacious though. The Meridien is better, and in a better location.
“This rose has a few thorns”
The hotel was beautiful, the room was beautiful, large and very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing. The breakfast was really like a brunch, with delicious food. When we booked this hotel which includes breakfast, we clearly booked it for two persons. When it was time to check out, they had charged us for one breakfast and gave the other one with the room, whcih is not what was supposed to happen. With phone calls and emails, I finally straightened that out. Don't use the phone to call the States, it is very, very expensive. I called the states without knowing the price, and talked in 6 days about an hour's worth. I could have bought a plane ticket to europe in off season for the money I spent on the phone. Get a calling card and call from the metro or train station if you need to call home. Also, this hotel is far from everything. Although, there is a metro station 5 minutes away, and not once in a week did I ever have to pay to ride it, nor did I ever see anyone else pay. If you don't mind being far from everything, then stay here if you like luxury. Also, in Brussels, you are supposed to be able to speak either Flemish or French. No one in the hotel spoke Flemish, except one waiter in the restaurant. French only.
“Conrad, Brussels, Mussels and Beer”
Great hotel, wonderful service, fantastic location. Make sure you get the bed and breakfast option. It is a substantial breakfast buffet. 24X7 business center with public computers or connection for your laptop.
“The rate is not compatible.”
Although the room was good it was the farthest, and the smalest room of the hotel. I can stay in other excellent hotel, less expensive with a better room for a better rate, far from the city center.
“Tired and over priced”
Chose what I thought was the best hotel in Brussels and although the room was nice it was outdated and the traditional brass fittings in the bathroom were so tarnished they needed replacing badly. There was a coffee filter machine in the room but the night before we had stayed in the Hilton in Bonn in a cheaper room and that had a new expresso machine and was much better all round. As the Conrad is supossed to be the flagship of the Hilton chain I was somewhat surprised ! The restaurant served very nice food but very over priced ~ when you pay over €100 per head you don't expect the butter to be served from a plastic container just like at breakfast, should have been nicely presented on a proper chilled dish ! The lounge bar / cafe was again tired with worn holes in the chair's arm rests and old carpet. Overall not very satisfied and would definitely not stay there again.
“peut mieux faire !”
les - sont : service voiturier déplorable !! et parking payant à l'heure !! ; clim sans thermostat; baignoire inutilisable ! ; wifi payant ! ; piscine payante 25 € ! les + sont : petit déjeuner à la hauteur (pour 37.5 € tout de même !!) mais pas le personnel (longue attente !) ; TV grand format , machine nespresso disponible dans la chambre, chambre calme.
“Hotel CONRAD Une veille dame devenue has been”
