Charming, inexpensive, best location!

Posted 06-Jul-2014
We were very happy with our experience. Small hotel with about 10 rooms, but there was a lift to the 3rd floor! Nice owner with whom we chatted quite a bit. Very clean and nice bathroom. Our room's view was of the beautiful guild houses across the street and church spire. Great simple breakfast, and hotel is around the corner from bike rentals and the main Markt square.

lovely hotel in Bruges

Posted 17-Oct-2013 on Hotels.com
It was a clean, nice, and comfortable room. Although it takes about 15 minutes walk from the main station, it's very central of Bruges, easy to sightseeing. The staffs were very nice, you can ask everything you want!

Excellent value for a weekend visit

Posted 05-Aug-2013
Pros: Good value and very welcoming
Cons: No complaints at all
Location: Ideal central location
The hotel was recommended by a friend, and it proved to be exactly what we required for a weekend in Bruges - clean, comfortable, friendly and overall very good value. If and when we return to Bruges we will book again.

A good experience

Posted 25-Jun-2012 on Hotels.com
All in all, a very good experience in this old hotel. As we arrived very early, our room wasn't ready, as we expected. But as they had a no show for a larger room, they offered it to us for a measly 3 euros a night more. This was the largest room we had seen so far in old European hotels. We were thrilled. As with all the others in old quarters we visited, the street was noisy, the result of sound bouncing off the wall off buildings across narrow streets. It comes with the territory. Keeping the window closed solves the issue for the night. The owner was accommodating for providing the makings of a gluten-free breakfast, no small feat in a country where breakfast is essentially bread, cold cuts, cheese and jams. It wasn't luxurious, but definitely comfortable. The location was ideal and the price was right.

Nice, small hotel. Great location. Friendly staff. Clean room. But breakfast didn't start until 8.30am. I would stay here again.

't Voermanshuys, Bruges - economical and central

Posted 03-Jul-2011 on Hotels.com
This friendly, family-run hotel represents exceptional value very close to the centre of Bruges, which is an expensive city. The three-star Martin's, across the road, was charging more than double. 'T Voermanshuys's superior (en suite) room was spacious and clean, with an adequate continental breakfast included. Minor drawbacks: no curtain on the over-bath shower, and no wall hook for it either; and the bed lacked a headboard.
